Jack Black has pulled the plug on his tour after his Tenacious D bandmate asked him for a birthday wish … regretting that the would-be killer didn't pull donald trump.
Jack says he was blinded Kyle Gass'comment on the heels of the shooting. KG made the comment at his show in Sydney over the weekend, as he celebrated his birthday on stage, saying he hoped another would-be killer wouldn't miss the mark next time. As you can imagine, the comment caused a lot of backlash.
Black says he would never condone violence, hate speech or encourage any kind of political violence.
Gass's comment – in which he said: “Don't miss Trump next time” – understandably sparked a firestorm of criticism, and it seems Jack had no choice but to put the tour on ice.
KG has just issued an apology… “The line I improvised on stage Sunday night in Sydney was very inappropriate, dangerous and a terrible mistake. I do not condone violence of any kind, in any form, against no one”.
He continued… “What happened was a tragedy, and I am incredibly sorry for my lack of judgment. I deeply apologize to those I have let down and truly regret any pain I may have caused.”
