“I don't like where we are”

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, a Democrat, was caught on a hot mic sharing a rather pessimistic view of the current state of the presidential race.

“We're just going to keep fighting. I don't know what to say,” Pritzker said. “We're going to do what we have to do. I don't like where we are.”

In accordance with NBCChicagoa spokesman for the governor confirmed that he was discussing the presidential race and more specifically “the discussion of Biden's status as the Democratic nominee.”

While this is a growing sentiment among Democrats following President Joe Biden's abysmal debate performance, Pritzker has been a vocal supporter of Biden and is between the names be floated as a potential replacement should Biden choose to withdraw from the race.

When asked by reporters if he would consider the position, Pritzker did not deny it, saying he refuses to “engage in hypotheticals” and emphatically stated that he is “all for” the president.

“I'm not engaging in hypotheticals. You can see I'm for Joe Biden. Joe Biden is going to be the nominee of the Democratic Party. I'm going to go out there and campaign for him with all my heart.”
