Hillary Clinton sounds alarm over Putin meddling in election, warns ‘he’ll do it again’

-

Hillary Clinton he warned ominously Russian President Vladimir Putin could intervene in the next elections of 2024.

The former Democratic Party standard-bearer reiterated his vexation that Putin interfered in the 2016 election and worried that they were being underestimated this time.

“The Russians have proven to be very adept at interfering and if they have the opportunity, they will do it again,” Clinton concluded on MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki” on Sunday.

“I don’t think, despite all the negatives, there’s any doubt that he interfered in our election,” he said. “Part of the reason he worked so hard against me is because he didn’t think he wanted me in the White House.”

Ahead of the 2016 presidential elections, Cybersecurity experts discovered a loophole of Democratic National Committee emails linked to actors based in Russia.

Russia is also believed to have some established a troll farm to amplify anger and discord on social media around the 2016 election, among other influence campaigns.

Former President Donald Trump has vehemently denied any claims that his campaign coordinated directly with Russia before his victory.

Ironically, many Republicans later accused Big Tech companies of interfering in the 2020 election under the pretext of countering Russia.

A bombshell October 2020 story from The Post about Hunter Biden’s laptop raised concerns about then-candidate Joe Biden, several social media companies said.

Despite allegations of fraudulent laptop material, numerous media outlets have authenticated large portions of this hard drive.

In the time since the 2016 and 2020 elections, Russia has found itself increasingly isolated and battered by crippling Western sanctions over its bloody incursion into neighboring Ukraine.

Putin has an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court that has apparently prevented him from attending international gatherings such as the Group of 20 summit earlier this month, or the BRICS summit last month, when he opted for a remote address .

Both Putin and Trump have occasionally exchanged kind words. The Russian president, accused of brutally murdering some of his rivals and then making a fool of himself about it, recently exploited Trump’s prosecution as emblematic of the “rotting of the American political system.”

“Putin is this authoritarian dictator who literally kills his opposition, kills journalists, poisons people who disagree with him, invades another country, [and] interfere with our elections,” Clinton argued.

He warned that there is “advanced fascism” and “would-be dictators” looming over the US political horizon. Clinton did not give a name.

Her former nemesis, Trump, is staring down the barrel of 91 criminal charges spanning four separate indictments. He has flatly denied any wrongdoing and has also vowed not to forgive himself.

“I don’t believe him at all,” Clinton said of her vow not to self-pardon.

At one point during the wide-ranging interview, Clinton weighed in on the tribulations of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) as he struggles with a Republican majority reeling like a wafer.

He posited that McCarthy’s announced impeachment investigation of Biden is emblematic of him pandering to his right wing.

“Unfortunately, the Speaker of the House is too weak to stand up to the most rabid bloc of his members who don’t care what the truth or facts are.” she said. “They want a political issue that they can try to use for their own benefit.”

McCarthy is trying to rally his caucus to avoid a government shutdown, but enough defectors have gathered votes to torpedo all his attempts so far.

Congress has until September 30 at 11:59 p.m. to come up with a funding resolution, otherwise there will be a government shutdown.
