Hamas founder’s son blasts terror group’s ‘7th century mentality’, says ‘Israel stands for order, democracy’

-

Unbeknownst to many, the eldest son of Hamas co-founder Hassan Yousef is no fan of the ruthless and savage terrorist group.

Speaking on Fox News”Hannity” this week, Mosab Hassan Yousef said that, despite the claims of the left, Hamas is not a political party but a religious movement waging a holy war.

“If Hamas was a political party, then we are [could] put pressure on them, bring them to the negotiating table where they can compromise. But Hamas is a religious organization. No one can satisfy their religious ambition because it’s a condition of their charter,” said network host Sean Hannity.

Listen:

While Yousef was slated to one day take over his father’s Hamas role, spending time in an Israeli prison seems to have inspired him to take a different route. In fact, after prison, he became an informant for the Shin Bet, which the Post describes as “the Israeli equivalent of the CIA.”

He also converted to Christianity and sought asylum in the United States, where he now lives.

During his discussion with Hannity, he was asked why Hamas hates both Israel and the Jewish people. Yousef responded by arguing that Hamas is driven by religion and politics.

“We are talking about Hamas, [which has] a mentality of the 7th century, where[as] Israel is very advanced [into the] 21st century So the gap is very wide. Hamas represents chaos. This is where they thrive. Israel represents order, democracy. So these are the two opposite extremes that have clashed,” he said.

He continued excoriating all the Pro-Palestinian protesters who know nothing in the US who have been making a fuss about Israel defending itself.

“They don’t know what Palestine is. And what I’m saying, you know, today as an American, I invite all these people to educate themselves first. And we cannot lose sight of why Hamas started this war. What we have to do [is] we must remove Hamas from power,” he said.

He added that he himself is on Hamas’ target list and that they would not “hesitate” to assassinate him if they could, despite his family connection to the group’s founders.

Continuing his remarks, Yousef said that in order to win this war, Israel and its allies must make it clear to Hamas and its allies (eg Hezbollah) that “we will stand together and fight them together instead of being divided like this”.

He previously said in another interview that if Israel gives in to the world’s call for a ceasefire, it will lose its battle against Hamas.

At one point during his interview with Fox News, Yousef was questioned about the Hamas version of Islam and whether it matches the mission of ISIS. He responded by saying that Hamas derives part of its mission from the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hassan al-Banna.

“Then there is tribalism, which is a seventh-century mentality, where a tribe used to fight against a tribe for 100 years until it annihilates itself, or annihilates the tribe… It’s the Arab mentality that they see Israel as a tribe. They want to keep trying until they annihilate Israel or are annihilated in the process,” he replied.

During an earlier interview with British talk show host Piers Morgan, Yousef said he was not remotely surprised by the barbarity Hamas had shown during its October 7 terror attack on Israel.

“Exterminating entire communities, playing with a nuclear power, the most powerful country in the region, a country with a great trauma of the past, with a memory of the Holocaust, and everything the Nazis did in the last century. They opened the doors from hell to the Palestinian people,” he said.

Listen:

Yousef also issued a stark reminder to all tacit supporters of Hamas.

“Since its creation, Hamas has had one goal in mind, which is to annihilate the State of Israel,” Yousef said.

“It is no secret that Hamas wants to destroy the State of Israel. They cannot accept Israel or accept Israel’s right to exist,” he reportedly said The Times of Israel.
