As we all know, Georgia prosecutors have gone completely off the wall in their blind quest to put Trump behind bars. They are literally jumping through legal hoops like they are in the Olympics and finally someone calls them out on their abuse of power.
Georgia State Sen. Clint Dixon has revealed his plans to file a lawsuit against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis with the goal of impeaching her. The move closely follows Sen. Colton Moore’s call for an “emergency session” to evaluate Willis’ recent actions.
“I am frustrated by the Fulton County indictments handed down last week,” Dixon said in a post. “It’s clearly all about Fani Willis and her shameless goal of becoming some sort of left-wing celebrity.”
He noted that Moore’s call for an emergency session “was not a legitimate option to hold him accountable” because the legislature has no legal control over his office, and suggested that Republicans should use of a law recently passed by Governor Brian. Kemp will hold “rogue district attorneys” accountable.
When the law that establishes the Prosecutorial Oversight Committee goes into effect in October, lawmakers can bring their concerns to the designated group, which then has the authority to “investigate and take action against Fani Willis and her efforts that arm the justice system against political opponents.” “
“This is our best bet,” Dixon said, “and I will be prepared to call for that investigation.”
Hats off to Dixon for taking drastic action against Willis and his weaponization of the law.
If justice really exists, Willis should be swiftly impeached for using her position to politically target President Trump.
