President Biden's disastrous open border policy is to blame for the horrific rape of a 13-year-old girl inside a Queens park, her distraught father told The Post.
A week after his daughter was allegedly raped by Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, an illegal immigrant from Ecuador, father charged 'This is what happens' when undocumented immigrants can flood the United States unchecked .
“The open borders policy, which I've never agreed with, because that just invites a lot of things that we don't need,” said the 70-year-old father, whose name has been withheld by The Post to protect the identity of his daughter. . “And look what went in. Look what happened to my daughter.”
Inga-Landi, 25, who crossed the Texas border in 2021 and was ordered to leave the country by a New York City immigration judge last February, was arrested on Tuesday for forced the girl and a teenager into a wooded area of Kessina Park at knifepoint on June 13, tying and gagged them and raping the girl in broad daylight.
The father said the family “have been through hell” since the depraved attack.
“It just turned my world upside down and the healing process has yet to begin. . . . My mind is really swirling with all the rage I have right now,” she said Thursday during a phone call from the family home in Flushing.
When asked about his daughter's condition, he simply replied: “You can't even imagine. So let's leave it at that.”
Inga-Landi's arrest after five days on the run was “definitely a relief”, the father said.
“Obviously it's very devastating for our family, but with this guy where he's at right now, that's great, because we can move on and focus on something else,” he said.
The father praised the good Samaritans who subdued the suspect and detained him for police.
“I would have done the same thing if I was someone else's child. . . . I definitely would have. No doubt about it,” he said.
“You don't need someone like that walking, driving, cycling, looking for places where they can be a predator.”
Things would have looked even worse for Inga-Landi if the girl's father had also caught her, despite her age.
“Especially when you have a child who's been brutally raped, the instinct I have is … thank God I didn't see that guy,” the father said.
Inga-Landi, who was already facing immigration charges, chillingly admitted during her appearance on Wednesday that she recorded the assault.
A judge ordered him held without bail on charges of rape, predatory sexual assault, kidnapping and a host of other crimes.
Inga-Landi already had a history of violence against women, according to sources and a January police report.
He had a custody dispute with his ex-wife over their children on Jan. 1, 2024, police sources said. He was dropping off the couple's two children at the 24-year-old woman's Queens apartment when Inga-Landi tried to confront her new boyfriend.
He left after calling the police. The woman told police that Inga-Landi beat her while she was pregnant and that she feared for the safety of her children around him, the sources said.
