EXCLUSIVE: Joe Biden paid nearly $2.75M cash for Rehoboth Beach house just weeks after Hunter sent ‘threatening’ text to Chinese business partner asking to close $10M deal

Is Joe BidenEn’s favorite place: his summer house Delaware where he has decamped dozens of times during his 1,000 days as commander-in-chief.

How DailyMail.com revealed Tuesday has passed at least 300 of those days, either in the nation’s second-smallest state or on vacation.

He bought the house at a time when his political career seemed to be over: five months after his vice-presidency ended, he was already past 70 and, after all, had decided to give up 2016 application for the first job.

But now that home in the small town of Rehoboth Beach could be a huge embarrassment as Republicans continue their push to find business ties between the 46th president and his son Hunter.

DailyMail.com has learned that then-private citizen Biden, who had spent virtually his entire adult life in public service, bought the house for just under $2.75 million, in cash.

And making the transaction even stranger, it came just weeks after a highly questionable text Hunter had sent to Henry Zhao, an associate of Chinese oil giant CEFC, asking to seal a deal worth $10 million in year.

The president’s son was staying at the guest house at Biden’s home in Delaware when he wrote to Communist Party official Henry Zhao on July 30, 2017, threatening to follow his “orders.”

He ends by emphasizing, “Okay, my friend, I’m sitting here waiting for the call with my father. I hope that what you do is very, very, very important.

There’s no proof that Joe Biden was sitting with his son, but photo metadata obtained by DailyMail.com of Hunter’s infamous abandoned laptop shows it was at his father’s main home, his mansion in Wilmington, the day the text was sent.

James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee and one of the key figures leading calls for impeachment of Biden, said the cash home purchase is suspicious.

“The fact that Joe Biden bought a luxurious beach house at the same time his family received millions from a CCP-linked company raises many questions that need to be answered,” Comer told DailyMail.com.

The bombshell texts are just one of dozens of revelations two senior IRS employees made in their sworn testimony to Congress.

No mortgage was recorded with the sale, indicating that Joe paid all cash for his second home.

The Sussex County recorder has no records for a mortgage on the Rehoboth Beach property until December of last year, when Joe and Jill opened a $250,000 line of credit secured against the property.

His tax records from the time show he was starting to make a lot more money than when he was vice president, mostly from sales of his memoir, Promise Me, Dad, and lucrative engagements for him and first lady Jill Biden.

In 2017, the first year Joe was out of office after 36 years in the Senate and eight more as vice president, the couple reported $11 million in income and $4.58 million more in 2018.

At the time of Joe’s Rehoboth home purchase, local news site Delaware online reported that it had been purchased “with part of his advance from a multi-book deal.”

But even if the money for the house came from the $11 million he and Jill earned that year according to their tax returns, there are still major discrepancies in the president’s financial disclosures that remain unexplained .

Joe was allegedly bribed by Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of the Ukrainian gas company Burisma, with $5 million, according to information received by a trusted FBI informant.

An analysis published last year by DailyMail.com shows a $5.2 million discrepancy between its returns to the IRS and disclosures to the Office of Government Ethics over the same period.

Between 2017 and 2019, he and first lady Jill Biden reported gross income of $16.5 million on their federal tax returns, released by the Biden campaign.

The vast majority came from his two companies, CelticCapri Corp and Giacoppa Corp, which he uses for speaking and writing engagements.

But to the Office of Government Ethics (OGE) during the same period, Joe only reported $9.6 million in income for himself and his wife.

Joe had to file OGE reports while he was vice president and in 2019 after declaring his presidential candidacy.

Some of the roughly $7 million remaining came from wages earned by the first lady from her teaching job at Northern Virginia Community College and from a salary she paid herself from Giacoppa, which the couple did not have to report to the OGE.

But a comparison of Joe’s reported income from his company CelticCapri in the OGE reports versus what he told the IRS, shows a difference of almost $5,180,071 that is still unaccounted for.

The figure is strikingly similar to the $5 million allegedly bribed by Mykola Zlochevsky, the owner of the Ukrainian gas company Burisma, according to information received by a trusted FBI informant.

In the 2020 transcript of an agent’s interview with the unnamed informant, released by Congress this year, the source claimed that during a meeting with Zlochevsky in 2016, the Ukrainian oligarch bragged that he had sent $5 million each to Hunter, who served on Burisma’s board. at the time, and Joe, through a complex network of offshore accounts.
