Elon Musk threatened to sue the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) on Monday for allegedly trying to “kill” X (formerly Twitter), blaming the anti-Semitism organization for pressuring advertisers to leave the platform since the dam of possession from last October.
“To clear our platform’s name on anti-Semitism, it seems we have no choice but to file a defamation lawsuit against the Anti-Defamation League…oh, the irony!” Musk wrote on Sunday X.
“To be very clear, I’m for free speech, but against any kind of anti-Semitism,” Musk added.
“Since the acquisition, The @ADL has been trying to kill this platform by falsely accusing me and myself of being anti-Semitic,” he wrote. “Our ad revenue in the US continues to drop by 60%, mainly due to pressure on advertisers from @ADL (that’s what advertisers tell us), so they almost managed to kill X/Twitter !”
