As the economy has tightened and the effects of inflation are hitting America across the board, young Americans appear to be losing more sleep over their finances than older generations, according to a poll.
Financial services company Empower released a report this week, in which they asked a number of Americans about their happiness with their financial situation. Empower’s August survey collected responses from 2,000 Americans 18 and older.
While approximately 73% of consumers and savers experienced financial stress, approximately 56% of Generation Z and 51% of Millennials told the company that their financial situations “keep them up at night” , according to the report. By comparison, only 37% of Gen Xers and only 20% of Baby Boomers agreed with the sentiment.
