At the Republican National Convention, a heated exchange ensued between Donald Trump Jr. and an MSNBC reporter on the prospect of President Trump's second term, focusing on issues of divisiveness and media representation.

The MSNBC journalist opened the confrontation with a pointed question about the possible changes that a second Trump term would bring. “What will that change look like, Don? What practically your father as president, I think you'd even say, was a divisive figure. What will it look like in a second term?”

ENTRANCE: Donald Trump Jr. gives the reporter a “clown” in the face and tells him to “get out of here” at the RNC after the reporter starts talking about children in “cages.”

Donald Trump Jr. he responded and directly blamed the media for creating a divisive narrative around his father. “I don't think he was a divisive figure at all. I think the media created division around him. They lied about Russia. Russia collusion. They said he was a traitor. They went after him in every possible way. If the media of communication start being an honest broker, talking about the things he did, the prosperity he brought, the peace agreements he signed around the world, instead of the disaster we're living in right now. The journalist pressed harder, bringing up the controversial family separation policies. “I know immigration is important to him. I covered the family separation crisis closely. When we continue to see policies like the deliberate separation of 5,000 children from their parents in the Obama administration, you know they didn't do it, sir. So will there be a second family separation policy?

Trump Jr. he responded with visible frustration, criticizing the media's portrayal of his father's policies. “It's MSDNC, so I expect no less from you clowns. Even today, even 48 hours later, you couldn't wait. I couldn't wait with your lies and your nonsense. Now, just get out of here.”
