Atlanta, Georgia-based Delta Air Lines announced a policy change regarding the pins that flight attendants can wear on their uniforms after backlash over photos showing some Palestinian flag pins.
Delta Airlines creates a new uniform policy that bans crew from wearing all but the US flag pins.
According to the new policy, effective from July 15:

In response to the images, Delta's official account on X, formerly Twitter, stated: “I'm listening because I would be terrified too, personally. Our employees reflect our culture and we don't take it lightly when it's not followed our policy”.

After facing criticism for the initial response, the airline issued an apology, confirming that the employee behind the post “no longer supports Delta's social channels.”

In a statement to Channel 2 action newsa Delta Air Lines spokesperson revealed that the pin policy adjustment will go into effect Monday morning, allowing only United States of America flags on flight attendant uniforms.
“We are proud of our diverse employee and customer base and the foundation of our brand, which is to connect the world and deliver a premium experience. We are taking this step to help ensure a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for everyone,” the spokesperson emphasized.
Previously, flight attendants were required to wear pins representing various countries and nationalities.
