From the article: CNN can’t seem to pull off a win, even when they’re baiting the most ardent leftists with a flamboyant piece about Joe Biden’s controller.
The plan was simple. She gets prime time time on CNN’s site by interviewing the woman America can’t seem to get away from, First Lady Jill Biden. There is only one flaw in the plan. Despite pushing herself into everything from sports to performing at the Grammys, Jill just doesn’t carry water.
According to Fox News, ratings for Biden’s prime-time appearance were beyond abysmal:
The “CNN Primetime” special, branded “Jill Biden Abroad,” featured an interview with CNN White House correspondent Arlette Saenz, which pulled an astounding 43 percent of viewers from the average viewership on CNN in 2023 at 9:00 PM ET.
“Jill Biden Abroad” averaged 368,000 total viewers compared to 2.7 million for Fox News’ “Hannity” and 2.3 million for MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show,” which aired in the same time slot. It was CNN’s worst weekday performance at 9 p.m. since June 17, 2022, excluding Christmas Eve, Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
So not only did Biden fail to attract CNN’s prime-time viewers, he chased a good portion of them. In fact, as Fox News added, Biden’s appearance on CNN was bested by reruns of shows like “Friends” on TBS and “Gunsmoke” on TV Land Classics.
