Cincinnati Reds fans storm the field, turn into a policeman, and immediately get tased [VIDEOS]

Cincinnati, OH – One Cincinnati Reds fan's enthusiasm got the better of him as he invaded the field at Great American Ballpark on Tuesday night. The fan, identified by police as 19-year-old William Hendon, tried to back away from a police officer and was met by the swift arm of the law. Hendon was electrocuted by a Taser shortly after and quickly arrested.

The incident was caught on tape and quickly shared on social media. According to jail records, Hendon now faces a felony trespassing charge and a misdemeanor obstructing official business charge and was booked into the Hamilton County Jail in Ohio.

According to law enforcement officials familiar with the case, the complaint against Hendon details that he “knowingly ran onto the Reds field of play during the game without permission to do so.” Another document, based on eyewitness accounts, accused the insurgent fan of obstructing an officer's lawful duties by attempting to flee from the officer who was following him.

Hendon is expected to make his first court appearance on Wednesday morning.

While the incident involved the police and grabbed the spotlight for a bit, the Cincinnati Reds were overshadowed by the Cleveland Guardians who emerged victorious with a 5-3 victory. The Guardians were led by Josh Naylor, who hit his 17th home run of the season, and Steven Kwan, who added two more runs for the AL Central team. Tyler Freeman had a solid defensive game, keeping the Reds score to a minimum through two incredible plays.

“It's kind of how we had the game set up,” Reds manager Bell said after the game. “Everyone did their job. We came up short, but a pretty good effort by everybody out of the bullpen.” That wasn't enough to change the fact that the Reds had lost the game in the end.
