China’s vice technology minister said Beijing will cooperate with its international counterparts, including the United States, to find common ground on frameworks for the development of safe and responsible artificial intelligence.
His comments were made at the UK’s AI Security Summit, which officially began on Wednesday in Bletchley Park, England.
Wu Zhaohui, China’s vice minister of science and technology, said the country was willing to “improve dialogue and communication on AI security with all parties.”
China will contribute to an “international mechanism [on AI]expanding participation and a governance framework based on broad consensus that delivers benefits to people and builds a community with a shared future for humanity,” he said, according to an official translation of the event.
