Bill Maher points to frenzied homeless cleanup ahead of Xi’s visit as proof Trump is ‘killing him’

Bill Maher has a “theory.”

HBO’s “Real Time” host says Democrats’ miraculous cleanup of San Francisco’s drug-infested homeless encampments ahead of President Joe Biden’s meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping is a clear sign that former President Donald Trump is on the right track. beating Biden in 2024.

“I want to test a theory about why Trump is killing it, not only within the party, but he’s also beating Biden strongly,” Maher proposed to the panel on Friday, he said. Fox News Digital.

“Because Xi, President Xi of China, came to our state this week and met with Biden in San Francisco, and they had a little summit,” he continued. “And they did something very interesting in San Francisco.”

Given the city’s rising crime and the exodus of businesses from the downtown area, California Governor Gavin Newsom came under fire at X after admitting the transformation was done only to benefit Xi .

“I know people are saying, ‘Oh, they’re just cleaning this place up because all these fancy leaders are coming to town,'” Newsom said during a news conference. “That’s true, because it’s true.”

That kind of attitude, Maher reasoned, doesn’t bode well for Biden.

“I mean, I’ve made many, many jokes like many comedians do about pooping in San Francisco and, you know, it’s a city that needs to be policed, so they did! Because Xi was coming!” he said “Leave aside the fact that you only clean with the company that comes?”

“Okay, so they cleaned it up, they wash it off the street, the homeless, you know, God forbid the guy who sends us the fentanyl sees somebody with fentanyl,” he added.

“That, to me, is why Trump is winning, because he’s talking about, ‘I’m going to open up mental hospitals,'” Maher explained. “Again, I’m not saying they’re necessarily a good solution. When he talks, “I’m going to put the people in the camps, the immigrants,” all that kind of stuff, and people just see a place, a country, especially in the cities, that seems out of control. And the fact that the Democrats could control it for three days, how about making it permanent?

Meanwhile, California residents have “had enough” of the Democrats’ love affair with President Xi.

Angry protesters took to the freshly cleaned streets of San Fran and began tearing down Chinese Communist Party flags that were flying as Xi made his way through the city.
