In a confrontation between a bikini-clad barista and an enraged customer, the South Seattle coffee scene turned into a spectacle of violence. The altercation unfolded on a typical Tuesday when Lee was serving a man his order: a 32-ounce coffee and a 24-ounce water. Things went sour when they fought over the $22 price, leading to a dispute. Angry, the customer threw the drinks at Lee before making a scene by trying to open the window, leaving her feeling threatened and prompting her to take action.
As captured by surveillance footage, Lee retaliated by using a hammer and hitting the customer's windshield, causing the customer to move and refuse to move until police intervened.
Lee stood firm in her defense, asserting her right to protect her property. He filed criminal trespass charges and banned the customer from his stand, while the customer, in turn, could take legal action for the damage to his windshield.
Lee addressed the issue on her Instagram, emphasizing the broader concern for the safety of women in similar solitary roles and calling for a change in the narrative surrounding these incidents.
While many came out in support of Lee, calling her a local hero, a few questioned her actions, prompting mixed reactions to the fiery confrontation.
