President Biden is waging a silent but global war against the American way of life. Despite denials to the contrary, the White House is plotting behind the scenes to end the modern home appliances that Americans have relied on for generations to improve their quality of life. But gas stoves are just the beginning.
The most egregious affront is that the Biden administration is pushing ahead with a ban on gas stoves without congressional approval.
In January, there was speculation that gas stoves would be banned from construction sites after the CPSC linked the appliances to an alleged risk of brain damage. A UPSC commissioner told Bloomberg that banning gas stoves in homes is “on the table”. He cited the device’s alleged link to serious illnesses such as respiratory disease, cancer and childhood asthma.
“This is a hidden danger,” said UPSC Commissioner Richard Trumka Jr. in Bloomberg, “products that cannot be made safe can be banned.”
A Biden official reacted to the outburst by later denying that the administration had any intention of implementing a ban on the sale of new gas stoves.
It soon became clear that the public prefers gas stoves much more than the Biden administration anticipated, like the incandescent light bulbs it has tried to ban. But despite the fact that the House of Representatives passed a bipartisan bill in July to avoid the ban on gas stoves, the White House has not abandoned the concept.
A House oversight subcommittee recently blasted the Department of Energy for trying to regulate gas stoves out of existence.
“We know that the Department has the authority to regulate energy efficiency standards for home appliances and has done so for decades without significant problems,” said Pat Fallon, Republican of Texas. “But since President Biden took office, he made it clear from day one that he was on a mission to abolish fossil fuels.”
“Under his watch, energy prices have soared as the agencies block rules to suppress energy production and harm America’s energy independence,” he continued. “His administration is even going after Americans’ home appliances. And not just gas stoves, they’re also targeting dishwashers, refrigerators, water heaters, furnaces and air conditioners.
But if you thought that was ridiculous, the administration is now going after ceiling fans. The Department of Energy is introducing a regulation aimed at making ceiling fans more energy efficient, saying the move would lead to energy cost savings for American families.
Republicans who serve on the House Small Business Committee argue that if implemented, the proposed regulation could put small manufacturers at risk. They point to the financial burden these companies would have to face to meet the new compliance standards.
“This rule would require numerous small business fan manufacturers to redesign their products and may put 10 to 30 percent of small business ceiling fan manufacturers out of business,” GOP committee members wrote Thursday in a letter to Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. . “It appears that the Department of Energy (DOE) may not have adequately considered small entities during this rulemaking process.”
In recent months, the Department of Energy has been aggressively pursuing tighter regulations for home appliances. As part of its broader mission to promote energy efficiency and conservation, the department has proposed new standards for several household staples, including gas stoves, ovens, washing machines, refrigerators, appliances air conditioning and dishwasher.
But it is not only in the United States that elites try to impose regulations that degrade the quality of life of those below them, while the upper class flies private jets and lives in mansions by the beach, despite the supposed threat of “climate change”.
In Britain, a green advisory organisation, the Committee on Climate Change (CCC), is advising millions of families to refrain from heating their homes during peak hours to help the UK government meet its target of zero net emissions.
As part of a wider ’emissions saving’ initiative, the CCC published a ‘behaviour change’ paper, suggesting UK residents should ‘pre-heat’ their homes to afternoon when electricity consumption is generally lower.
This advice is detailed in the CCC’s sixth ‘carbon budget’, a document outlining the UK’s strategies for reducing emissions between 2033 and 2037. The organization recommends that people using electric heating systems , like heat pumps, refrain from using your radiators in the evening. “There is significant potential to save emissions, just by changing the way we use our homes,” the paper states.
The CCC advises that well-insulated homes can be ‘pre-heated’ during off-peak hours, allowing residents to benefit from reduced rates. The organization predicts that by 2033, all newly built homes and up to half of those built after 1952 will be sufficiently insulated for these preheating practices.
However, the recommendation has drawn criticism, with skeptics arguing that the council is compromising people’s quality of life in order to meet the government’s climate targets. Andrew Montford, director of Net Zero Watch, claimed the electricity grid is already under strain and said: “It’s clear that renewables are a disaster in the making.”
Craig Mackinlay, who leads the Conservative MPs group Net Zero Scrutiny, also criticized the advice, saying it exposed the illusion of “abundant and cheap renewable energy”.
The CCC, established in 2008 to advise the Government on how to meet its climate targets, criticized the UK’s “worryingly slow” progress on climate action in its latest report. The organization noted that the UK’s support for new fossil fuel exploration and airport expansion undermines its position as a global green leader. The use of “carbon budgets”, legally binding emission reduction targets, has become increasingly controversial.
It is clear that the Net Zero 2050 initiatives are a front for the ruling class to wage war on modern civilization under the guise of a “green agenda”. These political elites have no intention of living up to their own standards.
