Bannon Drops Bombshell On Who’s Going To Be Trump’s Running Mate

On Tuesday, former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon dropped a bombshell on who could be President Donald Trump’s running mate in the 2020 election.

Speaking at a rally for a Republican congressional candidate in Ohio, Bannon said that former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley could be Trump’s pick for a running mate.

“You watch. Nikki Haley is going to be the vice president,” Bannon said.

The comment was met with cheers from the crowd, and Bannon went on to explain why he believes Haley is the right choice for Trump.

“She is a great person. She has tremendous energy. She has tremendous loyalty to the president. She’s a great spokesperson,” he said.

Haley, who served as South Carolina’s governor before taking on the role at the UN, has been a vocal supporter of Trump since his election. She has also been critical of some of Trump’s policies, including his decision to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement.

Haley has not yet commented on Bannon’s endorsement, but the speculation over who Trump will choose as his running mate is sure to continue. Other potential picks include Vice President Mike Pence, Senator Tom Cotton, and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

No matter who Trump chooses, it is sure to be a controversial decision. Trump’s running mate will be a key factor in his re-election campaign, and Bannon’s endorsement of Haley could be a sign of things to come.
