At 16 I was diagnosed with gender dysphoria in less than an HOUR and had sex reassignment surgery after only two appointments… I am suing the doctors who maimed me for good.

A woman who says she was run over transgender the surgery is suing the doctors who performed a double mastectomy on her when she was a child.

Luka Hein had the irreversible operation aged 16 and says the surgery has left her in daily pain, while hormone drugs may have robbed her of the chance to become a mother.

The Minnesota native, now 21, endured some traumatic years as a teenager when her parents went through a bitter divorce and was cared for by a man she met online.

She became increasingly withdrawn and spent more time online, where she began following trans influencers and convinced herself that she was born the wrong gender.

Luka claims that a therapist diagnosed her with gender dysphoria within an hour of her first session and she was referred for “top” surgery after her second appointment.

She told DailyMail.com: “I was going through the darkest, most chaotic time of my life, and instead of getting the help I needed, these doctors affirmed that chaos in reality.”

He added: “I don’t think children can ever consent to have essentially full bodily functions taken away from them at an early age before they know what that means.”

“I was told about a medical intervention of which I could not fully understand the long-term impacts and consequences.”

A lawsuit Ms. Hein filed today in Nebraska accuses the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) gender clinic of malpractice and seeks monetary damages.

In her 28-page complaint, she said that when she went back to doctors to tell them she regretted the operation, they told her to seek mental health counseling.

The lawsuit claims her doctor said, “I guess this is just part of your gender journey.”

“I was basically left out,” Luka told DailyMail.com

Since then she has decided to “detransition” and live as a woman.

But the treatments have allegedly left her with permanent scarring, a deep voice and erratic hormones.

She also claims that she has pain in her joints, lumbar spine, hands, wrists, elbows and pelvic area as a result of the hormone therapy, adding that she will not be able to breastfeed and may be infertile.

Harmeet Dhillon, Luke’s lawyer from the Center for American Freedomtold DailyMail.com: “This is truly shocking malpractice.”

She said: “Coercive methods were used to coerce the family into agreeing, including misrepresentation about the mental health consequences of not doing so. “Your daughter will kill herself if you don’t agree to this “, was communicated to his parents.

“Doctors should not be behaving this way with vulnerable children or families, period. Doctors should not be permanently maiming and disfiguring children, period, without some medical necessity, which was not presented in this case.’

Luka is the latest so-called “de-transition” to take legal action against her doctors in lawsuits that could be central to America’s heated debate over transgender medical rights and procedures, especially for children.

His documents were filed in Douglas County District Court in Nebraska this afternoon.

They are Dr. Ahia Amoura, an OB/GYN, and Megan Smith-Sallans, who worked at the gender clinic as an “affirmative” therapist.

Also named are Dr. Perry Johnson, who performed the surgery, and Dr. Stephan Barrientos, who assisted with the surgery, and both work at UNMC’s gender clinic.

They are accused of medical malpractice in the complaint, which also calls for a jury trial. The defendants did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s requests for comment.

Luka said her ordeal began in 2015 when her parents’ divorce turned the 13-year-old’s world upside down.

She was forced to split her time between two households, and her life became “chaotic”.

Luka struggled at school and suffered from anxiety and panic attacks. He lost his appetite, began to hurt himself and talked about suicide.

He was diagnosed with depression and generalized anxiety disorder and put on antipsychotic medication.

In 2017, Luka was groomed online and taken in by an older man from another state who convinced her to send him sexually explicit photos.

When she refused to send more, he threatened her. He got scared and called the police.

When she hit puberty, Luka hated getting her period and felt very uncomfortable with her developing breasts.

Traumatized by her online encounter with the older man, Luka wondered if it would be better not to have breasts.

She began exploring issues of sexuality online and found transgender influencers advocating hormones and surgery.

She asked for a chest folder, was transferred from an all-girls school and changed her name. Luka began identifying as male and told his parents and mental health providers that he was transgender.

Because of what she had learned online, she thought having her breasts removed might help her mental state.

After just 55 minutes in her initial session in July 2017, Luka claims the clinic made a “snap” diagnosis of gender identity disorder.

That “does not meet the standard of care for the proper evaluation of gender identity disorder,” the lawsuit says.

The speed of diagnosis created a “feedback system that manipulates patients like Luka into deeper and more damaging levels of transgender medical intervention,” the lawsuit adds.

In October 2017, Mrs Smith-Sallans referred Luka to the gender clinic for a double mastectomy.

Before the surgery, Luka told DailyMail.com that he had stopped wearing his chest binder for a few months because of the constant pain in his ribs.

She said: “I remember being like, hey, that’s not so bad. They still pushed me into surgery anyway.

She underwent the irreversible procedure on July 26, 2018, which the complaint said she was “unable to consent to.”

Luka said the first week after the surgery was “one of the worst times of my life”.

Since going public with his story, Luka has become close to about 20 other detransitioners.

She said meeting people who can more closely understand what she’s been through has been “one of the most healing things.”

In the last two years, many states have done so take measures to restrict or prohibit care for transgender people for people under 18 years of age.

Several medical associations say this health care saves lives among a suicide-prone group.

But opponents of trans ideology say that sex is determined at birth and cannot be changed, that medical advice groups have been hijacked by ideologues and that politicians must step in to prevent parents, doctors or therapists permanently harm children.

Many are alarmed by the sharp increase in teenage girls with autism and other mental health problems seeking sex reassignment in recent years, and by new studies linking puberty blockers to weaker bones and osteoporosis.

The possibility of allowing drugs and surgery for children who identify as trans has become a frontline in America’s culture wars, with Republicans pushing to ban gender-affirming care in about 20 states this year.

Sex-reassignment surgeries performed annually in the US have nearly tripled in recent years. About 48,000 patients underwent these surgeries over the five years studied, with about 13,000 procedures performed in 2019, the peak year, and 12,800 in 2020.
