After Asking for $24 Billion More in the U.S., Zelensky Wines & Dines with the World’s Richest Elites

As Mel Brooks once said, “It’s good to be the king.”

And if ever there was a beggar king, it would be Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The funnyman-turned-president has asked no fewer than 46 aid packages from Americans to fund a proxy war that no one voted for.

So when Zelensky showed up in Washington DC (only to be rebuffed for his request to address a joint session of Congress) and delivered a speech at the UN General Assembly, where he predictably who implored the world to give him “mo” money. ”, it would seem appropriate that he then dined with the richest elites in the world.

The New York Post reported that Zelensky dusted off his trademark army green clothing and then joined a bourgeois soiree hosted by megabankers JP Morgan.

The billionaire guys who attend? Mike Bloomberg, worth an estimated $96 billion; Ken Griffin of the Citadel investment empire, worth about $35 billion; Eric Schmidt, the former CEO of Google, worth $20 billion; Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, worth $11 billion; Jonathan Gray, the chairman of private equity powerhouse Blackstone, worth about $7 billion; Barry Sternlicht, of Starwood Capital; worth about $4 billion; Bill Ackman, the high-profile hedge fund operator, worth nearly $3.6 billion.

Also in attendance, he told the Post, was a BlackRock representative and Henry Kissinger himself.

“Investing in Ukraine must be good for you and good for us. I understand capitalism,” Zelensky told financiers in an effort to attract investment commitments.

Zelensky knows that “war is a business” for these titans of finance. And business is good.

So, as Zelensky bids to take another $24 billion from American taxpayers, the Ukrainian president needs to show the world what all that money is buying. Because it is certainly not peace, which he has ruled out from the beginning.

The war between Russia and Ukraine has been stalled for nearly a year and risks inadvertently dragging the world into a catastrophic World War III.

No one in Congress voted for US involvement in a war. Ukraine is not even a historical ally of the US.

It is also suspicious to American taxpayers that these “aid” bills are being pushed forward without a declaration of war. And the White House has resisted auditing these aid packages.

Senator Rand Paul took the floor and criticized lawmakers for giving $113 billion and counting on Ukraine.

“It’s as if no one has noticed that we don’t have extra money to send to Ukraine,” he said, adding: “Borrowing money to China to send to Ukraine makes no sense.”

Senator Paul also blasted Ukraine’s so-called “democracy” in a recent media appearance.

“There is also this incredible story about an American journalist, Gonzalo Lira. He is reportedly currently in prison in Ukraine on charges of spreading Russian propaganda. I don’t understand this, that Joe Biden can approve $113 billion in Ukraine and yet he hasn’t tried to get this American journalist out of jail there. How is that possible?” Fox News anchor Maria Bartiromo asked.

“It’s even worse than that. Maria, they canceled the election,” replied Senator Paul. “What kind of democracy doesn’t have elections?”

“So next year, Zelensky said he wouldn’t have an election because it would be inconvenient during the war and it would be expensive,” he continued. “Well, the fact is that if there are no elections, why in the world would you be supporting a country that is not a democracy? They ban political parties. They have invaded churches, arrested priests. So no, it’s not a democracy. It is a corrupt regime. And are the Russians better? No, the Russians are worse. But at the same time, we don’t always have to choose some other side.”

“But the last reason I’m against it is that we don’t have the money, and when we ask for more money, that leads to more inflation,” Paul said. “It makes our country more likely to go into recession, and so we can’t continue to do that.”

This is what an elected official sounds like when he represents the American people, and not a glorified pauper presiding over a corrupt, undemocratic country that perpetuates war with no end in sight.
