Former Trump White House aide Steve Bannon was discussing what he called the “civil war between the Republican establishment and MAGA” over the weekend when he declared that the “movement” will continue “long after ” by Donald Trump.
Bannon appeared on Sunday’s edition of Showtime’s docuseries The Circus, hosted by liberal journalist John Heilemann and Never-Trumper Tim Miller, when he predicted that MAGA will grow stronger even if Trump loses to a Democrat in 2024, assuming the former president is the eventual Republican. presidential candidate
“And in there, you have a litmus test, okay? And one of the back tests: It’s not just President Trump, it’s the theft of the 2020 election. That’s the core principle of this movement.” , Bannon said.

“By the way, they’ve made it all about Trump,” he continued. “This movement is on the rise and will continue long after Donald Trump and is already getting stronger and broader. Even if a Democrat were to win, there is no compromise here.”
Heilemann chimed in to clarify: “What you’re saying is that even if Trump loses to Biden, there’s not going to be a return to the old Republican Party?”
“No, more to the right than Trump. President Trump is a moderate in our movement. You’re going to think in the next few years that you wish there was Donald Trump,Bannon replied.
Critics often debate how “right-wing” Trump is, although many of the policies he pursued while in office were more conservative than recent Republican predecessors. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, his main challenger in the Republican primary, has repeatedly hit Trump over the debt he racked up, suggesting the former president is not fiscally responsible.
As for the “stealing of the 2020 election,” polls have shown that most Republicans believe the election was rigged, starting with Democrats exploiting the pandemic to alter election laws, flooding the playing field with unsolicited mail ballots and allowing ballot collection. However, evidence demonstrating outright theft on a scale that could have altered the outcome of the election remains elusive.
It remains to be seen how strong MAGA proves to be after 2024, but there is no doubt that Trump supporters are very confident:
No truer words have been spoken about the political future.
Trump is as moderate as we will get after 2024.— Albert Latham (@albert1776) November 13, 2023
Absolutely right

I totally agree with this assessment. Also, people are completely ignorant of what is going on. Indoctrination for victory.

He is a deal maker and was always willing to be pragmatic, but Hillary pulled the strings the minute she lost in 2016 with the “RESIST” movement that has and is tearing our country apart.

Kudos to Mr. Bannon, because what I do know is that Trump is already there
