Law enforcement in rural Connecticut has uncovered a massive psychedelic mushroom operation worth an estimated $8.5 million. Acting on a tip, authorities raided a property in Burlington, about 20 miles west of Hartford, and discovered dozens of dog food-sized bags filled with psilocybin mushrooms.
The drug task force, made up of federal, state and local authorities, executed the raid on Thursday and arrested a 21-year-old man. He now faces charges of operating a drug factory and possession with intent to sell and distribute narcotics.
