These are desperate times for the establishment with the idea beginning to sink in that former President Donald J. Trump could actually win next year's election and a prominent neoconservative ideologue warning that he will impose a dictatorship if he does.
In a long op-ed published by the Washington Post, arch-neocon Robert Kagan invoked the names of Roman emperor Julius Caesar and Nazi tyrant Adolf Hitler to warn of the dangers of a Trump return, a rule some have interpreted as a whistle of dogs for an annoying person. get it out before voters go to the polls.
Predicting that opposition to Trump will fall apart if he carries the day on Super Tuesday, Kagan wrote: “Votes are the currency of power in our system, and money follows, and with these measures, Trump is about to become much more powerful than he is. He already is. Casting time for alternatives closes. The next phase is about people coming forward.”

“Like Caesar, Trump wields a power that transcends the laws and institutions of government, based on the unwavering personal loyalty of his army of followers,” he stated in the piece.
“Seldom in American history has the disorder inherent in democracy been more astonishing. In Weimar Germany, Hitler and other agitators profited from the bickering of the democratic parties, right and left, the endless fights over the budget , legislative gridlock, fragile and fractured coalitions. German voters increasingly yearned for someone to cut through it all and do something, anything,” he wrote, playing the Hitler card that has saturated media coverage of Trump's communication.
“Trump's administration will be filled with people who will not need explicit instructions from Trump, just as Hitler's local Gauleiter did not. Under these circumstances, people 'work towards the Fuehrer,' meaning they anticipate his wishes and they seek favor through acts they believe will make him happy, thereby enhancing their own influence and power in the process,” Kagan stated.
The neocon thinker also suggested that Trump could become a dictator for life if he so chooses.
“Trump may not want or need a third term, but if he decided he wanted one, as he has indicated at times, the 22nd Amendment would prevent him from being president for life more effectively than the Supreme Court, if he refused to be . locked?” Kagan asks. “Why should anyone think that this amendment would be more sacrosanct than any other part of the Constitution to a man like Trump, or perhaps more importantly, to his devoted supporters?”
Kagan's comparison of Trump to Hitler risks inciting a mentally unstable leftist who might resort to violence to remove him before he gets to power, a very dangerous dog whistle. seconds to former Democratic congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard.
By claiming that “Trump will be like Hitler,” neoconservatives and the demographic establishment rationalize their weaponization of government agencies, encourage those in power to further abuse their power, and may encourage a lone wolf to do what the people say it should have been done to Hitler before he took power. “By claiming that 'Trump will be like Hitler,' neocons and the demographic establishment rationalize their weaponization of government agencies, encourage those in power to further abuse their power, and may encourage a lone wolf to do what people say Hitler should have been done sooner. took power. We need to send a very direct and clear message to the voting booth that we completely reject these anti-Americans,” Gabbard wrote in X, before Twitter, also voicing her concerns to Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham.
Kagan, a beloved member of the corrupt establishment, was one of the driving forces behind the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan during the Bush era, and with his wife Victoria Nuland who dealt with the debacle of Ukraine under the Biden regime, remains a prominent voice for the warmongers in DC for whom the lives of real Americans have little value.
That the country's most prestigious newspapers once saw fit to print a prominent opinion piece comparing the opposition's top candidate to Hitler, a former president no less, shows that the national media is much more in line with the press as envisioned by the Nazi Propaganda Minister. Joseph Goebbels than that of a free society.
For all the invocation of Der Führer to describe Trump by Kagan and his fellow travelers, they are the ones who have consistently used methods drawn from the Nazi playbook in their hostile takeover of America.
