Argentine libertarian politician and ex-economist Javier Milei won the Argentine presidential election on Sunday.
Milei, a self-styled “anarcho-capitalist”, has vowed to end Argentina’s rampant inflation – which recently topped 140% – by replacing the local currency with the US dollar and eliminating half of the country’s government agencies, often symbolized by driving a chainsaw in the countryside, seconds in The Associated Press.
