synopsis
In March 2021, after receiving my Pfizer injection, I could not feel the left side of my face for a month. Eighteen months later, the electrical shocks and muscle weakness continue. I can’t get the second dose, I am among a group of partially vaccinated people who have been marginalized from many aspects of society without empathy. We have been censored and told that it is unethical to talk about our stories because we are only anecdotes.
This film offers a glimpse into the lives of the anecdotal: those of us whose lives have been dramatically changed by taking the vaccine. It also reflects on the division and politics that prevent us from receiving much-needed attention. Anecdotic is a personal journey that focuses on questions, not answers, and on people, not politics.
