Elon Musk says Fauci should ‘face trial’ for crimes he’s committed against Americans

-

Twitter CEO Elon Musk has backed the growing call for Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, to stand trial for alleged crimes against the people american

Musk’s stance comes on the heels of Senator Paul’s appearance on Fox News where he demanded that Fauci be held accountable for his actions.

“Yes, I think Fauci deserves blame and history will judge him very badly because he decided to fund this research,” Paul said. “It’s dangerous research. He doesn’t want to call it gain-of-function, but most other scientists do call it gain-of-function, in Wuhan, in an opaque totalitarian country. And in the end, there was a leak from the lab and millions of people died all over the world.”

Paul also said he believes Fauci was untruthful during his testimony before Congress.

“It’s a felony punishable by five years in prison if someone is actually accused of lying under oath,” he said.

In a post on Twitter, Elon Musk said Fauci deserves: “Of course a trial.”

Pressure is mounting to prosecute Fauci after the latest release of the “Twitter Files,” which showed President Joe Biden’s former top medical adviser lied when he insisted he never used Twitter.

Journalist Paul D. Thacker, who is a former US Senate investigator, published evidence that the longtime NIAID director was less than truthful in his statements to the public, as well as in an affidavit that did last year Thacker, who runs “The DisInformation Chronicle” blog on Substack, exposed Fauci’s dishonest claim that he did not use Twitter.

The call for legal action against Fauci concerns his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan said earlier that Republicans are building their case against Fauci.

“So specifically before your committee, and also before Rand Paul in the Senate, Dr. Fauci, of course, has cleared himself of all gain-of-function funding,” conservative podcaster Benny Johnson said in an interview with Jordan . “He said he doesn’t know anything about it. It’s verifiable and provable that he lied. Now, there are codes in Congress. I have a code right here, 18 US Code 1001.”

“Declarations: False statements to Congress,” Johnson noted. “It says you can go to jail, it says you can go to jail for eight years if you lie to Congress. It seems like there’s never been a clearer case of someone lying to Congress.”

“Yes, we can, there could be a referral, but you would refer to Biden’s Department of Justice,” Jordan replied. “I don’t know, they’re going to pursue it, but you can definitely do it. You might have to have one of the committees, the Senate Judiciary Committee might do a referral. I doubt they’ll do it with the Democrats in charge.”

“We could potentially do a bypass,” the Ohio Republican continued. “Frankly, I would prefer that Dr. Fauci come back and ask another round of questions here, but we’re building the case. You know, like, we had Dr. Redfield testifying, President Wenstrup. I thought it was, I thought it was great. As were the other witnesses who came forward.”

Fauci claims he has received death threats over the GOP’s call to prosecute him.

“I mean, they don’t like me getting death threats all the time. Every time someone stands up and says some nonsense that’s misinformation, disinformation and blatant lies, someone somewhere decides they want to hurt me or my family,” he said. “That’s the part that’s really unfortunate.”

“The rest is just crazy, the things they’re saying. But it has a negative effect when people take it seriously and take it out on you and your family,” he added.

In December 2021, Senator Paul announced that he was referring Fauci to the US Department of Justice for allegedly making false statements to Congress.

“We have referred him to the Department of Justice, but again, Merrick Garland is the one now going after parents who go to school board meetings,” Paul said.

“So I don’t have much hope that Merrick Garland is objectively looking at Fauci’s lie,” Paul continued, followed by a pointed 12-word statement about the NIAID director: “Fauci should go to prison for five years to lie. Congress.”

Elon Musk told his 120 million Twitter followers in 2022 that Dr. Anthony Fauci should be prosecuted.

“My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci,” he tweeted.
