It takes hard work to help our fellow CFP participants.
By doing our homework before we put our fingers in gear to type something out & hit POST COMMENT we can help in a myriad of ways.
Accurate information that can help others should have a lot of thought as a foundation.
Just think of helping someone with a problem they have.
How do we help a business owner we know?
How can we help our local preacher tend to his flock?
What help can we give a young person who can take what you say & use it for a lifetime to make their life better.
Put your reading skills to work. If you read a book that you think others should know about, write a book report with all the information about the book & how to locate a copy, and why you would benefit from reading it.
If you know of a great business. Help spread the word about it. Give specific contact info. A good thing to do is to back up your comments by referring people to the business and its website so they can read about them and what they say their business stands for.
Independent verification by 3rd parties is the safest way to ensure no liberal lunatic has invaded the Open Thread under the guise of really helping CFPers but really has nefarious reasons to hurt us collectively or even individually.
There is always room to make someone laugh at a post you make.
Maybe you can share the best advice you ever received.
Extreme value is achieved when you help someone solve a specific problem that they are having difficulty with.
Due to the founder of the Open Thread spending his own hard-earned cash to keep us in touch with each other on a daily basis our horizons have expanded, and new doors have been opened.
