CIA Blocked Investigation into Hunter Biden's 'Sugar Brother' Affidavit Claims [VIDEO]

The House Ways and Means Committee on Wednesday released a compelling affidavit from IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley, shedding light on alleged CIA intervention to obstruct an investigation into Hunter Biden. Shapley, a senior investigator with the IRS Criminal Division, detailed a meeting between Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) for Delaware Lesley Wolf and DOJ prosecutor Jack Morgan at CIA headquarters in Langley , Virginia.

During the August 2021 meeting, Wolf and Morgan engaged in discussions with the CIA about Hunter Biden's associate and benefactor, Kevin Morris. Shapley revealed that his team had considered using Morris as a witness in its investigation of Biden, but Wolf apparently nixed that possibility. According to Shapley's affidavit, AUSA Wolf cited classified information they received about Mr. Morris, using it as a basis for barring further prosecution of him as a witness.

The revelation of Morris' significant financial involvement with Biden, including the purchase of 11 paintings and a loan of more than $5 million to cover tax liabilities and personal expenses, was highlighted by Kentucky Republican Rep. James Comer in January Press release.

In response to the decision to exclude Morris as a potential witness, Shapley requested a secret briefing from Wolf to understand the information that prompted her to take this action. However, his repeated attempts to organize the briefing were met with disdain.

Shapley further noted that upon returning from the Langley meeting, AUSA Wolf appeared to be showing off his acquisitions, proudly displaying the CIA-branded merchandise he had purchased at the agency's gift shop.

Shapley's involvement in the investigation took an unexpected turn when the DOJ removed him from the case in May 2023, following his disclosure of concerns to Congress regarding the alleged mishandling of the investigation. Shapley had been actively investigating potential criminal tax code violations by Hunter Biden prior to his withdrawal from the investigation.

The startling allegations presented by Shapley's affidavit have reignited scrutiny and raised questions about possible outside interference in the Hunter Biden investigation, fueling calls for transparency and accountability in the face of these troubling revelations.

Opening Statement by President Smith: Marking of Protected Materials Under Section 6103 of the Internal Revenue Code

“New documents provided by whistleblowers show that Hunter Biden repeatedly lied to Congress in his February deposition to distance himself from his involvement in what should be considered a clear scheme to enrich the Biden family.”

As is ready for delivery.

“For months, IRS whistleblowers have provided this committee with evidence that gives us insight into a long-running Biden family influence-peddling scheme.

“Based on the evidence provided by the whistleblowers, we know that Hunter Biden and his business partners made millions selling access to Joe Biden and the 'brand' quote that is Joe Biden around the world. We know that the president's denials Biden of any knowledge or involvement are not true. We know that the Department of Justice tried to undermine, block and block the investigation into the Biden family, including President Biden.

“Hunter Biden's statement is key to understanding attempts to cover up how the family made millions from selling access. However, new documents provided by whistleblowers show Hunter Biden repeatedly lied to Congress in his statement of February to distance himself from his participation in what should be considered a clear scheme to enrich the Biden family.

“First, Hunter Biden lied about the recipient of a WhatsApp message sent with the apparent intent to threaten a business partner and demand payment. In the message, Hunter Biden mentioned twice that he was with his father. In statement, Hunter Biden tried to dismiss the message, claiming that he was either quoting “high or drunk” when he sent it and, in that state, had sent it to the wrong Zhao, not the affiliate of the China's energy company, CEFC, claimed under oath that the recipient “didn't even remotely know what he was… talking about.”

“However, phone records before the Committee today show that Hunter Biden sent the message to the correct Chinese businessman by the name of Raymond Zhao, who was not only affiliated with CEFC, but knew exactly what Hunter Biden was talking about .

“For several months, the couple sent messages back and forth to the same phone numbers, and eventually a subsidiary of CEFC, Raymond Zhao's company, sent $5 million to Hunter Biden and his few associates days after Hunter's threatening message. These documents make it clear that Hunter Biden was using his father's name to shake down a Chinese businessman. And when he confronted congressional investigators about it, he lied.

“Secondly, Hunter Biden lied when he claimed he was not Rosemont Seneca Bohai's corporate secretary and that the shell company he set up with Devon Archer and his associated bank accounts were not under his control or affiliated with him .

“The truth is in his own handwriting, and it is before our Committee today. In an official Rosemont Seneca Bohai document accepting another foreign payment, Hunter Biden wrote: “I, Robert Hunter Biden, hereby certify that I am the duly elected, qualified and acting Secretary of Rosemont Seneca Bohai, LLC.” The Committee has also obtained evidence showing that Hunter Biden was, in fact, the beneficial owner of a bank account in the name of Rosemont Seneca Bohai.

“Third, Hunter Biden lied during his deposition when he said he never helped people get US visas. Whistleblowers have sent the committee an email between Devon Archer, Hunter Biden and Ukrainian associates in which Archer stated, “Hunter is consulting with Miguel Aleman to see if he can provide coverage for Kola with the visa.” Kola, as CEO of Burisma, Nikolay Zlochevsky and whose email also states, the US visa goes be revoked because there was concern about his travel abroad.

“These documents also confirm, again, that the IRS whistleblowers have been telling the truth all along and include yet another example of the Department of Justice obstructing this investigation. For example, included in the materials what we have in front of us:

  • Documents showing that the investigators' previously released summaries, earlier Exhibits 300 and 301, were accurate;
  • In 2021, Assistant US Attorney Leslie Wolf told investigators they could not pursue Hollywood attorney Kevin Morris as a witness based on information she received from the CIA. Investigators never received the same information that AUSA Wolf received; i
  • Additional context regarding Hunter Biden's involvement with CEFC.

“The evidence under consideration today confirms, once again, that the IRS whistleblowers are the only witnesses in this investigation who can be trusted to tell the truth.

“Congress cannot allow our oversight responsibilities to be undermined by lies told by anyone, including the president's son. Hunter Biden, despite what he may believe, is not above the law. Everyone present today knows that lying to Congress is a serious offense. We are here today to consider this evidence to ensure equal application of the law and to protect the integrity of this and future congressional investigations.

“I hope all my colleagues vote to release these documents that show, once again, the IRS whistleblowers are telling the truth and Hunter Biden is not.

“Without objection, I will enter the publicly available transcript of Hunter Biden's deposition transcript on February 28, 2024 into the record.”
