Cavuto Says GOP Looks Like 'Ceystone Cops', Tells Chip Roy: 'Republicans Don't Lead'

Fox News' Neil Cavuto lashed out at Republican lawmakers, telling Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) on “Your World” Friday that they are “not leading.”

“Republicans don't lead,” Cavuto said. “And no offense to you, sir. I mean, you look like the Keystone Cops.

“You can't agree on anything,” said the host. “And there it is, now everybody wants the speaker's head.”

“I don't know where you stand on this,” Cavuto continued, “but to add insult to injury, then the president comes out to say, at the border, he has some ideas before the State of the Union address where he could take executive actions, executive orders, maybe undo some of the ones he signed the day he became president.”

The situation is “confusing,” he said, suggesting that President Joe Biden is winning the PR war.

“Now, some of your colleagues are going after him and saying you can't do this, even though they said you have the power to do it,” Cavuto said. “So he's going to do this. It's confusing because he said he wouldn't. I'm just wondering, is he winning on the PR front? That shouldn't matter, but it seems to matter.”

Roy reminded Cavuto that it is an election year.

“Well, sure, he's going to go into election season and try to limit the numbers,” the Texan replied. “But everything will be a fiction. What it will do is move numbers through the One application and by abusing the parole authority at ports of entry.”

“He'll come in with orders,” Roy predicted. “It's going to move the numbers so you don't have big groups of people sitting in Eagle Pass or Del Rio or they're going to drop the numbers in California, but you're still moving people through the ports of entry.”

Roy noted that “only 891” of the 330,000 illegal Venezuelan migrants who have been detained “have actually been returned.”

“This serves a purpose,” he said. “Biden is doing it on purpose. Now he's going to try to send the opposite message.”

“Republicans need to hold the line,” Roy said. “The only way to do that is to continue to illustrate the problem and demand that we secure the border with the political changes that need to be adopted. We have to know what they are and force their hand.”

“We are getting the message,” insisted the legislator. “People overwhelmingly blame Biden for the border. The polls show it.”

AX, users called out Cavuto's blatant bias.

“It's still obvious you're a Biden lover,” one user told the host. “When have you ever checked on Biden.”

“You don't seem to subscribe to the Fair and Balanced mantra because you seem to have contempt for Trump,” said another. “It looks personal.”

“Cavuto,” wrote a third. “Your report is the equivalent of a skid mark on a truck driver's underwear after eating Taco Bell and driving for 24 hours straight.”

Another user kept it simple.
