The poll of voters by Echelon Insights found that 48 percent of swing state voters would support the 77-year-old real estate mogul on next year’s ballot.
The pollsters, who interviewed 1,020 voters for the study, said only 41 percent would support Biden over the former president.

But in a direct national poll, Echelon found that Biden is just ahead of Trump at 45 percent to 44 percent.
The Echelon Insights poll found that 60 percent of likely Democratic voters said they would “definitely” or “probably” support Biden in a Democratic presidential primary.
Another 33% said they would choose to support a different Democratic candidate, and 7% said they weren’t sure.
The Echelon Insights poll was conducted with 1,020 likely voters between June 26 and June 29, with a margin of error of +/- 3.9 percentage points.
