Fani Willis is getting some very bad news in the case of Trump's 2020 election

The Georgia Court of Appeals has temporarily halted proceedings related to the 2020 election case involving former President Donald Trump. The court is reviewing a trial judge's ruling, which allowed Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to continue prosecuting the case.

CBDC, BRICS and de-dollarization efforts accelerate ahead of Trump's likely return

The suspension applies only to Trump and eight co-defendants who requested that Willis and his office be removed from the case. The reason for the disqualification bid was an alleged inappropriate relationship between Willis and Nathan Wade, who was acting as special prosecutor in the case.

The three-judge appeals court will begin hearing arguments in the disqualification bid on October 4. The hearing is part of the August term and a decision on this matter must be made by March 14, 2025.

The case adds to the ongoing controversy surrounding the 2020 United States presidential election. Allegations of voter fraud and irregularities in election results have caused widespread concern among the American public and led to ongoing legal challenges in several states. Appeals like this show that the judicial process continues to work through the issues.
