Police in Philadelphia are searching for three armed suspects after a 16-year-old boy was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon.
The incident took place in the 1200 block of Van Kirk Street in the Oxford Circle neighborhood of Philadelphia at 4 p.m.

Police officers at the scene found the teenager suffering from multiple gunshot wounds behind a property on the island.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, but later died from his injuries.
According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, three gunmen were seen chasing the victim as he was shot.
Surveillance footage of the incident reportedly shows two of the suspects standing over the victim and shooting him multiple times at close range in an execution-style killing.

Small commented, “So it appears to be an execution-type homicide, as the shooters are seen on camera standing over the victim. We also found several spent casings inches away.”
After the incident, the suspects fled the scene in a white sedan. Police are urging witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
The identity of the victim is being withheld until his family is properly informed.
