Israel's ambassador to the United Nations leveled his country's response to left-wing members of the General Assembly ahead of a vote on a Gaza ceasefire.
Ambassador Gilad Erdan had a clear message for those calling for a ceasefire, appearing to troll Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar as he trashed members of the international body while holding a sign with a phone number that allegedly belonged to the man considered the mastermind behind it. the attack by Hamas on Israel on October 7.

The United Nations General Assembly delivered an unsurprising vote in favor of a cease-fire in Gaza, with an overwhelming non-binding vote of 153-10 that saw only a handful of countries take a stand against the resolution
Austria, the Czech Republic, Guatemala, Liberia, Micronesia, Nauru, Papua New Guinea and Paraguay joined the United States and Israel in a “no” vote while 23 other countries, including the United Kingdom and Germany, abstained.

Erdan uttered his bottle during the statements he made on Tuesday.
“Again, we are about to vote on another hypocritical resolution,” he said. “Not only does this resolution not condemn Hamas for its crimes against humanity, it doesn't even mention Hamas at all. This is a resolution that will only prolong the death and destruction in the region.”
“On October 6 there was a ceasefire and it was abruptly violated; not by Israel, but by 3,000 Hamas Nazis who invaded my country; rape women, decapitate babies, burn families alive and deliberately exterminate innocent civilians like insects,” explained Erdan.
“What would your country do if you were in Israel's shoes? Call for a ceasefire? What would Moscow do? Beijing? Istanbul? how would you answer Everyone here knows exactly that,” he demanded of those who opposed Israel's side in the war.
“Those who support this resolution are giving terrorists a free pass,” he continued. “A ceasefire means one thing and one thing only: to ensure the survival of Hamas; ensuring the survival of genocidal terrorists committed to the annihilation of Israel and the Jews.”
“A ceasefire is a death sentence for countless more Israelis and Gazans,” he added as he revealed, “I have an idea.”
During today's meeting at @I, I told the ambassadors in the General Assembly that everyone in the room knows what Moscow, Beijing or Istanbul would do if they were in Israel's shoes. Hamas committed terrible crimes and those who support a ceasefire allow Hamas to continue…. pic.twitter.com/IPi7NwJTK1

“If you want a real ceasefire, this is the right address,” he said, holding up a sign.
“This is the phone number of the Hamas office in Gaza,” Erdan said. “You can all call +970-599373765 and ask for Yahya Sinwar. Tell Hamas to lay down its weapons, surrender and return our hostages. This will lead to a complete ceasefire that will last forever.”
The sign read: “For a ceasefire dial +970-599373765” and “Ask for Yahya Sinwar” alongside a photo of Sinwar.
I am amused by the idea of Hamas having a customer service line. Or that Sinwar's number is somehow known and the Israeli ambassador has given it out so Karens can harass him.

“Then why don't you do this?” Erdan continued his fiery speech. “Why don't you hold Hamas accountable? Ironically, today is the UN's International Day of Neutrality, the day the UN remembers itself as an impartial mediator in the escalating conflict. Ignoring war crimes of today's everyday genocidal terrorists, this body further demonstrates its utter irrelevance. What a shame.”
Israel's ambassador to the UN, Gilad Erdan, presented the phone number of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and said: If you want a ceasefire, call him.

“Hamas does not respond to the resolutions of the General Assembly; Hamas only responds to threats to its survival,” he continued. “Continuing Israel's operation in Gaza is the only way the hostages will be released. This shameful resolution serves only one purpose: to try to tie their hands of Israel and allow Hamas to continue its reign of terror.”
You can call Hamas at +970-599373765 to request the release of the hostages. This seems legit. https://t.co/sf8d7yM6sg

“No piece of paper, especially one adopted by a biased and politicized majority, will prevent Israel from defending itself against those who seek our destruction,” the ambassador concluded. “Israel is fighting a war for our future. There is not a single member state here, not a single member state here, that would act differently in a similar situation.”
