U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) slammed Harvard University President Claudine Gay after she apologized for controversial comments she made during a congressional hearing on campus anti-Semitism in early this week.
Long one of America's most prestigious institutions of higher learning, the Ivy League university that has produced generations of the nation's leaders has been exposed as a cesspool of Jew-hatred under Gay's tenure , while his students protested Israel's righteous efforts to destroy the terror of Hamas. organization in Gaza and have called for Jewish genocide.
In one interview with The Harvard Crimson which was published on Thursday, the “rent of diversity” she said she regretted appearing to give anti-Semites a free pass when lawmakers criticized her for the unsettling atmosphere at the snob factory in Cambridge Massachusetts.
“When words amplify anguish and pain, I don't know how you can feel anything but regret,” she told the student newspaper. “I got caught up in what had become at the time, a long and combative exchange about policies and procedures.”
Stefanik wasn't buying it, blasting Gay for his tepid effort to absolve himself of his role in the implosion of the university that has suffered immeasurable damage from the toxic climate it fostered.
“No, Dr. Gay. You were given the opportunity to speak your truth. And you did it. not once Not twice Not 5 times. Not 10 times I asked you 17 times (!!!) in the audience if calling out the genocide of the Jews violates @Harvard's code of conduct. You have spoken your truth under oath 17 times. And the world felt it,” the New York Republican wrote in X.

You were given the opportunity to speak your truth. And you did it.

During the hearing, the congresswoman repeatedly pressed Gay on whether calling for the genocide of Jews on campus was a violation of the university's code of conduct.
The President of @Harvard cannot answer the basic question:
“Does Calling for the Genocide of Jews Violate Harvard's Rules on Harassment and Stalking?”
She literally can't say YES. The only acceptable answer is YES. pic.twitter.com/iXkNfv8pun

“At Harvard, does calling for the genocide of the Jews violate Harvard's harassment and bullying rules?” Rep. Stefanik asked, a simple question that Gay did her best dancing Karine Jean-Pierre impersonation without ever giving a direct answer.
“It might, depending on the context,” Gay replied, repeatedly invoking the same phrase that Stefanik put in the moment.
“It doesn't depend on the context. The answer is yes and that's why you should resign,” Stefanik said. “These are unacceptable answers in every way.”
“There are some who have confused the right to free speech with the idea that Harvard will condone calls for violence against Jewish students,” Gay told the Harvard Crimson. “Let me be clear: Calls for violence or genocide against the Jewish community, or any religious or ethnic group are vile, do not take place at Harvard, and those who threaten our Jewish students will be held accountable.”
The world is watching. The presidents of @Harvard, @AMBi @Penn must be fired immediately.

“You don't need a Harvard degree to see the problem here,” Stefanik he wrote in a comment for the Daily Mail. “It is now all too clear that hateful anti-Semitism has taken root on Ivy League campuses.”
“Higher education has long been a focus of left-wing hate, breeding groupthink in the next generation. And here's proof that comes straight from the top, from university presidents who don't they are willing to defend anyone who does not conform to their warped world view of what constitutes a 'victim' – in this case, their own oppressed Jewish students.” she said
