A troubling video about “gender identity” being shown to fourth- and fifth-graders in the Wisconsin Senior High School District is making the rounds on social media, proof to many that the “woke” mob is ” coming for our children.”
In the animated video, two children discuss the difference between “sex” and “gender”.
As a cartoon doctor tells cartoon parents that they've had twins (the one with a penis is a boy and the one with a vulva is a girl), one of the kids exclaims “Woah! Let's go, people!” .
“The way your body looks on the outside is only part of the story,” the little girl informs the medical professional.
Although your gender refers to “your body parts,” the boy says, “Gender is how you feel inside your body and who you know you are.”

In accordance with Wisconsin Public Radio (WPR), the Upper School Board voted 5 to 2 at a 2022 special meeting “to uphold a decision rejecting a complaint by about 30 parents challenging a lesson plan that teaches gender identity to fifth-grade students “.
“The parents filed an appeal of this decision on August 3,” WPR explained. “They argued that the lesson plan within the district's human growth and development curriculum is not age-appropriate and does not meet the district's own standards for teaching controversial topics.”
The notion of “gender identity” has not been scientifically proven, parents argued, and curriculum slides and videos amount to “persuasion and indoctrination.”
“Unfortunately, this chosen curriculum is one-sided, favoritism and does not present a balanced view of the subject,” said university professor Brett Jones, who spoke on behalf of parents. “Where there is no intellectual balance, the result can be nothing but persuasion and indoctrination.”
District Administrator Amy Starzecki said those against gender identity lessons are marginalizing LGBTQIA students and contributing to a toxic environment at the school.
“This lesson is important in our work to ensure an inclusive environment free of harassment and bullying,” she said, according to WPR. “As superintendent, my decision regarding this matter was to adopt and follow the committee's recommendation made by education experts.”
Instead, the popular “End Wokeness” account on X said: “They are coming for our children.”

“We have to stop these demons,” said podcaster Kyle Becker. “Teaching kids to reject their bodies is bad. Sowing gender confusion is bad. Making kids feel like God made a mistake when they were born is bad. It's time to stop humoring these sick people.”

“What happened to the teaching of reading, writing and arithmetic?” wanted to know the user. “They have staffed government schools with child predators. Homeschool your children!”
“This is poor preparation and has no place in school,” said one angry user. “Parents in Superior expect them to stand up for the truth and their children.”
