Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown claims he has “never done business with” former President Donald Trump, but evidence suggests otherwise.
Why does all this matter? Because during a press conference Thursday, Trump told a story about almost dying on a helicopter ride with Brown.
The story itself is important because it also included the claim that Brown had dished out a lot of dirt on his former lover, current Vice President Kamala Harris, during the helicopter ride.

“I know Willie Brown very well; I actually went down with him in a helicopter,” Trump said Thursday. “We thought maybe this was the end. We were in a helicopter, going to a certain place together, and there was an emergency landing. This was not a pleasant landing.”
“And Willie was—he was a little worried. So I know him, but I know him pretty well. I mean I haven't seen him in years. But he said terrible things to me [Kamala]. But that's what you're telling me, anyway, I guess. But he played a big part in what happened with Kamala. But he…he, I don't know, maybe he's changed his tune. But he, at the time, wasn't much of a fan of hers.
But speaking to Bay Area station KRON after Trump's news conference, Brown claimed it was all fiction.
“I've never done business with Donald Trump, let's start with that,” he said. “And secondly, I don't think I'd want to get on the same helicopter with him. Too many people have an agenda referring to him, including the people who service the helicopters!
“He was doing what Donald does best, his creative fiction,” Brown added.

Brown also disputed the claim that he bad mouthed Harris.
“I couldn't imagine thinking of Kamala Harris in any negative way,” she said. “She's a good friend for a long time, an absolutely beautiful woman, smart as hell, very successful, electorally speaking.”
“I've been a part of every campaign she's been in, I've supported her religiously and I still will, and I'm looking forward to the next 89 days. I can't wait to step in as president,” he added.
So who is to be believed? The corporate propaganda press has already decided that Brown is the one telling the truth here.
The New York Times: “That time Trump almost died in a helicopter crash? It didn't happen.”
CNN“Trump said he 'went down' on helicopter 'emergency landing' with ex-San Francisco mayor, says never happened”
The Independent: “Trump claims Willie Brown told him 'terrible things' about Harris on near-fatal helicopter ride. Says every part of story is fiction”
HuffPost“Trump Says He Thought The End Was Near In Helicopter Emergency Dems Say Didn't Happen”
San Francisco Chronicle: “Trump says he 'helicoptered down' with Willie Brown. Former SF mayor says it never happened”
Meanwhile, critics have uncovered evidence that appears to contradict Brown's claim that he “never did business with” Trump.

As previously reported, Brown and Harris had an affair in the 1990s. During the affair, Brown, who was 30 years her senior, rewarded her with two lucrative appointments in city government.
This bombshell first surfaced after Harris announced his run for president in 2019. A week after the announcement, Brown published an op-ed in the San Francisco Chronicle revealing the matter.
“Yes, we dated. It was over 20 years ago. Yes, I may have influenced her career by appointing her to two state commissions when I was Speaker of the Assembly. And I certainly helped with her first run for to district attorney in San Francisco,” he admitted.
Brown then accused Harris of threatening to impeach him after she rose to the top and became the city's district attorney:
