A Dallas man with two prior DWI convictions struck and killed a pedestrian on Saturday. The author, Juan Morgan Muñoz, 31 years old, was under the influence at the time of the fatal accident. Munoz reportedly waited 30 minutes before finally calling 911.

Police discovered Muñoz's BMW in the parking lot of a Maaco body shop, with hard evidence inside: a “hole in the front passenger windshield” and “an entire human arm in the front passenger seat.” , accompanied by a disturbing amount of blood.
Despite his previous convictions and being on probation, Munoz insisted to police that he was not intoxicated, claiming that he had only consumed a single shot of Patron in the early afternoon after visiting Hooters the night before. However, law enforcement noted his physical condition, citing “glassy/watery eyes, slurred speech and the strong odor of alcohol” during their interaction.
Subsequent tests revealed Munoz's blood alcohol level was 0.179, more than twice the legal limit. He also allegedly confessed to having cocaine in his system.
The delay in Muñoz's decision to contact emergency services raises serious questions about his mindset and intentions after the incident. Was he trying to “sober” before making the call? Did he consider using the bodywork to hide evidence of his crime?
Dallas authorities have not released the victim's identity. Additionally, no details have been released about the condition or whereabouts of the rest of the victim's body.
