White House Weekly Report: “Home of the Whopper”

This week’s White House report card finds President Joe Biden in miserable shape.

House Republicans are starting their investigations into their problematic policies and decisions, it’s getting crushed in the early 2024 primary polls, and the price of eggs continues to rise.

POMPEO LISTS TOP 10 WASHINGTON REPORTERS ‘LAZY’ AND ‘DESIGN’.

Democratic pollster John Zogby highlighted Biden’s poor showing in a New Hampshire primary poll that had the president trailing one of his cabinet secretaries. He gave Biden a “C-” grade and said, “voters still see the country going in the wrong direction and are worried about the future.”

Conservative analyst Jed Babbin graded Biden’s week an “F” and highlighted the administration’s stretch of the truth. He wrote: “You don’t have to go to Burger King this week because the White House was the ‘Home of the Whopper.'”

Mixed numbers and mixed week for President Joe Biden.

His overall approval rating for polls conducted last week was 44%, showing no change from the previous week, though better than the past two months. But voters still see the country going in the wrong direction and are worried about the future.

There was bad news in New Hampshire with Democratic primary voters favoring Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg over Biden by five points and neighboring senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren grouping with the president. Biden, who will receive just 18% support, will struggle to increase his performance in a state that he and his party have “discriminated against by not honoring the Granite State’s longstanding tradition of being the nation’s first primary.” .

The New Granite State poll of New Hampshire Democrats shows that 66 percent of voters opposed Biden’s bid for a second term.

Also, another poll had Biden trailing former President Donald Trump by three points and tied with Gov. Ron DeSantis. In both cases, Biden is only polling between 40% and 41%. Ouch.

Talk of World War III is real, not just among the tinfoil hat crowd, and that never helps.

The president had to cheer up a bit over the discovery of classified papers at former Vice President Mike Pence’s Indiana home. I’m not sure independents care about Classified Papers Gate and I might wonder what that has to do with the price of eggs. But have you looked at the price of eggs?

You don’t have to go to Burger King this week because the White House was the “home of the Whopper.” The lies came so thick and fast it was hard to keep up.

The debate over the debt ceiling continues, and White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain said Republicans want to cut Social Security and Medicare, both fake and crazy. Press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Republicans want to raise the price of gas, which is just as silly.

The biggest lie was from the Secretary of the Fatherland, Alejandro Majorkas. He claimed that the number of illegal border crossings by “key nationalities” dropped after DHS began its new “parole” system. This means that the number of illegal aliens entering the country has not dropped at all. The Majorkas team is turning illegals into legal crossers through a new type of “catch and release” program. The new system allows illegals to make appointments to surrender to border agents, after which they are released “on parole” pending a hearing on their asylum claims. It’s a big scam to cover Biden’s (and Majorkas’) backside. It does nothing to reduce the entry of illegal aliens into the country. This number is actually increasing.

The only truthful statement came out of the Department of Energy. In releasing a congressionally ordered report, the DoE admitted that Biden’s cancellation of the Keystone XL pipeline cost thousands of jobs and billions of dollars. well duh

Biden’s classified documents scandal won’t go away. Nor should it. The FIFTH search of Biden’s Delaware home resulted in the FBI seizing “six items.” Those six were document boxes containing tens or hundreds of classified papers. Some of the documents reportedly come from Biden’s days as a senator and as former President Barack Obama’s vice president. He had absolutely no authority in either position to declassify anything. Biden’s media friends now claim the government is classifying too much. That may be true, but it doesn’t clear Biden of potential criminal wrongdoing.

The economy grew by 2.9% in the last quarter of 2022, which is good, but economists are almost unanimous in saying that a deep recession is on the way this year. Meanwhile, Biden, after saying he wouldn’t send US tanks to Ukraine because they would start World War III, is now sending over 30. They won’t arrive until the end of the year, so they won’t help the Ukrainians fight the Russian attacks expected in the spring.
