Weston Cage, son of renowned actor Nicolas Cage, voluntarily surrendered to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) following an incident earlier this year. Young Cage is alleged to have assaulted two people multiple times on April 28, causing injuries. The LAPD responded to the incident, completed a police report and filed the case with the Los Angeles District Attorney's office last month. Consequently, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon were filed against Cage, resulting in a felony warrant and bond set at $150,000.
Weston's mother, Christina Fulton, shared her experience of the incident. She testified that she received urgent messages from friends about her son's deteriorating mental state on the day of the incident. When she arrived to help him, she found him in a state of manic rage and assaulted, with serious injuries. Despite her pleas to police officers to detain her son for a mental health evaluation, her pleas were denied.
Fulton expressed deep concern and sadness over her son's ongoing mental health crisis, emphasizing the urgent need for him to get help. No further comment has yet been received from the LAPD, as well as representatives for Nicolas Cage and Weston Cage.
