On May 8, 2021, a political action committee backed by billionaire George Soros, Color of Change, endorsed Bragg in the DA race and committed $1 million to support his election. In accordance with public George Soros donated $1 million to Color of Change PAC on May 14.
In a 2022 WSJ op edSoros admitted that he “has supported the election (and, more recently, the re-election) of prosecutors” and criminal district attorneys.

BRAGG IS A WAKE UP TYRANT WHO HAS POLITICIZED THE JUSTICE SYSTEM
State Supreme Court Justice Diane J. Kiesel criticized Bragg’s decision not prosecute Tracy McCarter, accusing Bragg of being pressured by his own supporters as well as McCarter’s. Change Color posted an ad asking Bragg to drop the charges.

65 assistant prosecutors left Bragg’s office in the first half of 2022 following its progressive reforms to the state criminal justice system.
239 cops quit the NYPD in January and February 2023. It is expected that 1,400 police officers will resign this year.
