Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) was the only Democrat who had the balls to challenge President Joe Biden for the 2024 nomination, and now he's been vindicated after the party's elite ousted the octogenarian in the retirement
The Minnesota lawmaker who warned of Biden's rapid deterioration before the primaries took a victory lap and ripped his congressional colleagues for being “cowards” not to mention the 81-year-old's senility years, which was evident long before last month's CNN debate.
Phillips appeared on Newsmax this week after the geriatric career politician gave up the ghost and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as his successor, telling anchor Greta Van Susteren it was “just a matter of when” until the ugly truth about Biden came out. revealed to the American people.

“I knew this was a conversation we would have to have at some point. It wasn't a matter of if, it was just a matter of when, so I'm saddened that it took so long,” he said. “He served the country very well, I think, for 50 years, and it's a sad way to end the term and I hope tonight we all take a moment and reflect on that.”
“My intention was to have this debate, at least in a primary setting, many, many months before. I had seen that decline, my colleagues had seen it,” Phillips said when asked by the host why it took so long for Democrats to debate Biden's fitness for another term.
“Why hasn't anyone spoken?” Van Susteren asked, looking for an answer to the resistance to the obvious, especially the conservative media that has spent years pointing out that Biden was a shell of the man he was.
Phillips couched his response in “a lot of Trump” and more about what his party specializes in.
“I'll be direct,” he replied. “First, I saw this disease, the culture of silence, the disease of silence, I saw it first among my Republican colleagues during the Trump presidency. Many of them were excoriating it in private, and then they got in front of off the cameras and just counting their blessings and telling people how much they love and support him.”
“And then I saw the same thing from my side, where people would express concern about their skills and their decline in private, and then stand in front of the cameras and say everything was fine. But that's part of the reward system. in Congress,” he continued. “They reward us for being cowards and punish us for being brave, and that's how this game works. Want to keep your seat? Do you want to climb the leadership ladder? Do you want to run for the Senate or the presidency one day? You have to play, you have to stay online, you have to be part of the team. It's not what this whole country was founded on. It's quite the opposite.”
In February, before all the primaries had been rigged in Biden's favor, Phillips took to X to attack his fellow Democrats.
“I get attacked for being honest and saying the quiet part out loud, the part DC insiders only do in private,” he wrote. “I admire our president. I voted for him and campaigned for him. He has visited my home and been kind to my family and our country.”

“But too bad you're pretending everything's fine. You're leading us, and him, into disaster, and you know it,” Phillips warned.
The party's far-left extremists will squeeze every last drop of juice out of Biden now, using his last few months in office to whip up a wish list of their wildest dreams with executive orders, with “reform ” of the Supreme Court. first on your list.
