US Senator Tom Cotton asked the questions the left-wing media will never ask.
And CNN's Kaitlan Collins refused to answer, being repeatedly poked by the Arkansas Republican that she wasn't taking the bait in her questions about what former President Donald Trump said.
While the media carried water for Democrats and President Joe Biden for years, Vice President Kamala Harris' entry into the presidential race has not shifted attention to her record or policy issues. The focus continues to be on what Trump said, did or thought and Collins was sure to keep the Republican nominee at the center of his discussion with Cotton.

He asked the senator whether Trump's comments about Harris' race and background were “defensible,” referring to the former president's response at a National Association of Black Journalists event in Chicago. Trump commented that Harris was of Indian heritage.
“She was just promoting Indian heritage. I didn't know she was black until a few years ago when she became black. Now she wants to be known as black. So I don't know, is she Indian or black? He said. “I I respect any of them, but obviously she doesn't because she was Indian all the way, and all of a sudden she turned around and became a black person.”

“First of all, it's refreshing to see a presidential candidate who is willing to go in front of the media, which Donald Trump knew would be a difficult interview. It turned out to be a hostile and adversarial interview, but nine years ago that it does,” said Cotton, who noted that Harris did not attend the event and has not held a press conference since President Joe Biden ended his re-election campaign. and endorsed her.
After Cotton called Harris a “San Francisco liberal,” Collins made a deliberately absurd take.
“Yeah, I haven't heard Donald Trump talk about any of his policy positions today or his positions when he was on that stage,” he said. “But your argument is that just because she hasn't done an interview since she became the top of the ticket, that it's okay to question what her career is?
“Kaitlan, if you didn't hear Donald Trump talk about his positions and his record, then you didn't watch the interview. It went on for 30 minutes,” Cotton said. “The vast majority, Kaitlan, was Donald Trump talking about his record, contrasting it with the Biden-Harris record of higher inflation and open borders and war and chaos around the world.”
But when Collins pressed the senator again about Trump's comments about Harris being black, Cotton unloaded, giving the CNN host a brief lesson in Journalism 101.
“You know, four years ago, Joe Biden said if you don't vote for him, you're not black. Can you imagine a more insulting comment?” remembered.
“Joe Biden presumes to judge the political views of one-eighth of our fellow citizens based on the color of their skin. Did you ever ask Kamala Harris to condemn her comments? Did you ask her if that was racist?” Cotton asked as Collins repeatedly tried to close it.
“Have you asked Kamala Harris why she's willing to serve as VP for a man she essentially calls a racist and a segregationist? Have you or anyone else in the media asked Kamala Harris those questions, Kaitlan?” she pressed.
Social media users saw through CNN's narrative and gave Cotton top marks for bringing it back.
