You may have missed it, but there was another (pointless) GOP debate Wednesday night featuring five contenders who, frankly, don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell against President Trump. Yet the media and the never-Trump crowd continue to play pretend, acting as if Trump’s grand comeback is just a pipe dream. They are busy daydreaming that a dark horse will come out of nowhere and take the crown. But let’s be real: Say DeSantis or Haley pulled off a victory using the Dems’ famous “cheating” playbook, would anyone really buy it? Of course not.
Regardless of the reality, the stage for the GOP debate was set with so-called Neocon “vanguards” Nikki, Ron “Boots” DeSantis, and Vivek Ramaswamy. And the only one who came to play ball was Vivek. He wasn’t just the only candidate not wearing heels; he was the one who brought the heat, keeping Nikki and Boots on their toes throughout the night. Vivek came out strong, calling the GOP the party of “losers,” which is 100 percent correct.
Here’s what Trending Politics co-founder Collin Rugg had to say about it in a post on X:
JUST IN: Vivek Ramaswamy correctly calls the Republican Party the “party of losers,” then calls for Ronna McDaniel’s resignation. He also called out the moderators and said they should be replaced by Tucker Carlson, Joe Rogan and Elon Musk. Epic “We’ve become a losing game at the end of the day. is it cancer The Republican establishment, let’s be honest.” “I mean, since Ronna McDaniel took over as chair of the RNC in 2017, we’ve lost in 2018, in 2020, in 2022. No red wave that ever came. We were defeat last night in 2023. And I think we have to hold our party accountable on this issue.” “Look at the people over there cheering for losing to the Republican Party. Consider who moderates this debate. It would have to be Tucker Carlson, Joe Rogan and Elon Musk.

Vivek struck another blow to the establishment by calling for Ronna McDaniel to step down from her post at the RNC. Podcaster and conservative influencer Benny Johnson weighed in on the topic, sharing the powerful clip on X:
LATEST: Vivek Ramaswamy blasts Ronna Romney McDaniel, demands she get on stage and RESIGN, says Joe Rogan and Elon Musk should host debate instead of hackers like Kristen Welker who pushed the hoax Russian collusion.
In what might have been his most incisive moment of the debate, Vivek addressed the imminent threat of World War III while deftly taking a humorous jab at DeSantis’ much-rumored “high heel” boots.
This is what Benny had to say:
VIVEK: “You want a leader of a different generation who puts this country first, or you want Dick Cheney in 3-inch heels…in which case we have two on stage tonight.”
Ouch. What a zinger.

Former Fox News powerhouse Monica Crowley believes this particular line from Vivek won him the Internet.

Nikki’s attempt to counter Vivek’s “heels” kick fell flat. Here are the details shared by Collin Rugg:
NEW: Nikki Haley’s X account appears to have threatened Vivek Ramaswamy after he mocked her and Ron Desantis for being “Dick Cheney’s 3-inch heels.” Haley’s comment came after Vivek called her out for getting rich from politics. “You have people like Nikki Haley, who resigned from her time at the UN, bankrupt or in debt was her family.” “Then she becomes a military contractor. She joins the board of Boeing and is now a multi-millionaire.” “Do you want a leader of a different generation who will put this country first, or do you want Dick Cheney in three-inch heels?” Shortly after the comment was made, Haley X’s account said the high heels were ammunition. “Vivek, I’m wearing heels. They’re not for a fashion statement, they’re for ammunition.” What does that mean?

Oh Nikki, the political scene in 2023 is a different beast. That kind of comeback might have resonated in 2002, but today’s GOP base expects more. Clearly, none of the contenders in this scenario could best President Trump in a fair contest. You have to hand it to Vivek though – he’s channeling that “out there” vibe and is pretty effective at revealing just how entrenched in the establishment both Haley and DeSantis are.
