At a time when many young people seem desensitized and disconnected from society, it is truly heartwarming to see a large group of teenagers come together to help a mother and her two children. All too often, we come across videos of people in danger, and instead of rushing to help, viewers stand around, filming with their phones, waiting for a 'viral hit'.

However, there is some hope for the future, thanks to the actions of dozens of Christian teenagers. When they saw a family in need, they jumped into action, running to help and working together to rescue them. Truly heroic behavior by these Christian children.

KSL TV:

Dozens of high school kids from Layton Christian Academy came to the rescue of a mother and two children after they were hit and trapped under a vehicle.

The incident happened in the school parking lot.

One of the children, a 3-year-old girl, was able to free herself. The children then lifted the car to pull the mother and her 2-year-old son to safety.

Chris Crowder, Associate Pastor and CEO of the school, is the one who called all the teenagers in the school to come and help.

“I didn't really know what was going on,” Crowder said. “I looked across the parking lot and noticed the car screaming, so I ran over there and I look under the car and I see the mother and the child under the car stuck. It was a split second. I immediately went into the building because I knew I had to get a lot of people to lift this car. We have about 220 national and over 300 international kids in the school. They just heard me scream. All these kids from different countries come running and they lift it up.”

The school's surveillance video of the parking lots shows children running from the school and surrounding the car to pick it up. An airman from Hill Air Force Base then pulled the mother and child to safety.

“We have to raise enough to get them out and the kids listened,” Crowder said. “They got the car on the side, 20 to 30 kids, just an inch or two, enough for the Air Force gentleman (to) be able to get them out. The kids were heroes, and so was the gentleman who was there and took them out.”

I will see:

These parents must be incredibly proud of their children. They have clearly instilled good morals and values. We need more of that positive energy and strong leadership to help guide our troubled country back on the right path.
