The Biden administration reaffirmed the so-called “great replacement” theories about Democrats wanting to push for mass immigration (especially of illegal aliens) with the goal of making them citizens and increasing the base of the Democratic Party

During an interview with CNN's Laura Coates, Harris discussed the crisis at the border, which he seized on as an opportunity to push for exactly the kind of policies that would ensure its continuity in perpetuity. “There is no question that our immigration system is broken. And so much so, that as the first bill we offered after our inauguration, it was to fix the immigration system, which included what we have to do to create a path for citizenship and put the resources that are needed at the border. But unfortunately, people on the other side of the aisle have been playing politics with this issue,” he said.

For two decades, the conventional wisdom has been that there are 11 million illegal aliens in America, but it's a number our government has never seen fit to update.

A 2018 Yale study found that the actual number of illegals in the country was 22 million at that time, and Biden's border crisis has only added to that. During fiscal year 2021 more than 1.7 million illegals were apprehended, in fiscal year 2022 CBP encountered nearly 2.4 million illegals, while fiscal year 2023 there is there were almost 2.5 million encounters. In other words, the Biden administration has set three consecutive records for the number of border encounters.

If the government's oft-quoted “11 million illegals” figure were true when Biden took office, and there was a successful escape for every encounter, that would mean the number of illegals in the country would rise 60% below Biden (though of course the “11 million” numbers are probably a drastic understatement).
