CNN contributor Van Jones addressed the elephant in the room Tuesday after the New Hampshire primary, where former President Trump cruised to victory, and advised President Biden to stay in his basement
It practically called for a repeat of the last election where Biden stayed hidden from view. Americans demand answers on economy and border and even Jones forced to admit geriatric world leader 'doesn't inspire confidence'
The conversation was initiated by David Axelrod, who is a former senior adviser to Barack Obama. Earlier in the segment, he claimed the 2024 race it would be “trench warfare”.
CNN host Anderson Cooper expressed doubt that there would be active competition among the race favorites.
“Will they hide in the trenches?” Cooper asked the panel. “Will there be a campaign trail? … Will there be debates?”
Jones recommended that Biden stay out of the public eye for the 2024 presidential election because he “doesn't inspire confidence.”
“If I were Biden … I would stay in hiding,” Jones recommended. “And I'll tell you why: He doesn't inspire confidence. And he's not a great messenger for himself. He's done a great job for this economy. Unions, union leaders … they're racking up victory after victory; they've got to come forward.” .
Even CNN's Van Jones is telling Biden to stay in the basement.

“There is something is wrong with this campaign, where we somehow expect Joe Biden, who frankly went into hiding during the last campaign, to now come out and be Flash Gordon and save his own campaign. The people who are benefiting from the Biden economy, and they exist, should be empowered to speak out,” the former special adviser to Barack Obama warned.
The problem is that Biden no longer has a pandemic to hide behind, and American voters want answers about his time in office. Hiding this time is highly unlikely to be a winning strategy for the president.

The other members of the CNN panel seemed surprised by Jones' claim. One glowingly described Biden's campaign as “disciplined.”
The Democratic Party is rallying around their flaws and the wounded incumbent, but many rank-and-file Democrats are deeply concerned about his age, as well as his mental and physical acuity.
Even the odds are on Trump's return to the White House. They don't even believe that Biden is the real Democratic candidate.

Jones cautioned Democrats about that sentiment.
During CNN's post-primary coverage, Jones joined a panel breaking down the results in New Hampshire. There, he argued that Republicans' willingness to move forward with Trump, despite the ongoing cases against him , was proof that they weren't worried about any potential threat that President Joe Biden might pose in the general election. daily thread reported
“Part of what we're seeing with Trump's strength, his resilience, is really one reflection of Biden's fragility,” Jones argued. “Republicans aren't afraid of Joe Biden. They're not afraid. They don't think putting someone so damaged, frankly so deranged, so many deficits, is going to hurt them at all, because the polls show over and over again that even with 978 felonies, still he is neck and neck with Biden.”.
Van Jones is trying to warn his fellow Democrats that they are running an incredibly weak candidate.
