A United Nations report showed how globalists aren't just putting American taxpayers on the hook for foreign nationals when they cross the southern border.
An estimated 8 million people have crossed into the United States illegally since President Joe Biden took office, mostly through known entries. Leftist leaders have seen fit to reward the invasion by providing shelter, meals and other comforts rather than a trip back to their homeland, and according to a recent report, handouts begin long before borders are bypassed.
Writing for the New York Post, Center for Immigration Studies senior national security fellow Todd Bensman drew attention to the UN's 2024 budget and planning document R4V known as the “Platform of inter-agency coordination for refugees and migrants from Venezuela” which details as $1.6 billion in funds. it is assigned to 17 different Latin American countries.
“It confirms that the UN, with the help of 248 named non-governmental organizations, is indeed giving out debit cards to illegal migrants, funded in large part by US taxpayers.” he wrote Bensman.
Previously, efforts to expose the plan in 2021 were discredited by an Agence France-Presse (AFP) fact-checker when a report suggested illegals were receiving $800 debit cards en route to the US via Mexico.
At the time, UN Crisis Communications and Advocacy Spokesperson Safa Msehli had stated that “'e-bags' are only given to migrant individuals or families who fit a certain profile,” and that the people Bensman had indicated were handing out debit cards while working with the UN, but are “not affiliated with the organization.”
Now, the senior fellow pointed to the report as confirmation of his original claim that American taxpayer dollars are being used to “simply put” to distribute $372 million in “Cash and Voucher Assistance” and “Multipurpose cash assistance” to more than 600,000 illegals heading to the US by 2024.
“This money is distributed more frequently, other UN documents show, as prepaid and reloadable debit cards, but also 'cash in envelopes,' wire transfers and mobile transfers that travelers at the U.S. border can use for whatever they want,” Bensman said.
The report follows other concerns about “special privileges for illegal immigrants” seen at U.S. airports, where it says foreigners can opt out of photo identification provided as part of TSA screening to board domestic flights.
As Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley (R) stated in a letter to the agency, “This practice not only undermines the rule of law, but also raises significant safety concerns for commercial flights.”

“The only apparent expression of concern to support people who clearly intend to break US law appears on a page depicting a map with the thin red line of a migration route leading to the border American near El Paso,” Bensman wrote.
“So why hand out hundreds of millions of dollars in cash and services to hundreds of thousands of people who plan to illegally cross that red line, when those nations don't like it or want it and have to put up with the political controversies?” asked the senior fellow. “'To support access to asylum procedures, migration regularization activities and socio-economic integration,' says the plan.”
Further evidence that the federal government facilitated the border crisis came Monday with a Supreme Court ruling allowing the Border Patrol to remove barbed wire placed by Texas to stem the tide of illegal entry into the country, a decision brought by the representative of Louisiana Clay. Higgins (R) to state in part, “the feds are waging a civil war…”

“With the United Nations and NGOs as a front,” Bensman concluded, “the United States is paying for its own border crisis. It is a truth that cannot be 'fact checked'.
