If you're familiar with evolutionary biologist Bret Weinstein, you already know two things about the man: He's extraordinarily intelligent, and he'll take the truth over party politics any day of the week. Incredibly articulate, he chooses his words almost as carefully as he chooses the sources he cites.
So when he says something, it's safe to assume he genuinely believes it to be the truth, uninhibited by an agenda or scripted narrative. And if he later finds out he was wrong, he'll be the first to admit it.
In recent years, Weinstein has focused his impressive brainpower on mRNA technology and COVID-19 vaccines, and on Friday he explained to Tucker Carlson the fatal “flaw” of Big Pharma's “cash cow” .

“Nobody wants to be thinking about COVID anymore,” Weinstein told Carlson. “It was a traumatic and exhausting experience.”
“I don't want to be thinking about COVID anymore either,” admitted the former teacher. “But what I find is that every time I look away and move on to other topics, things move out of our line of sight and those things couldn't be more important. So I'll try to explain where we are and how we've gotten here and what the implications are in the present that people largely don't realize.”
Weinstein considered himself an expert on big pharma when the pandemic broke out, but said he was “schooled through COVID.”
“What I've come to understand is something I call the pharmacy game,” he explained. “If you think about what pharmacy is, we tend to think of it as an industry that is determined to find drugs that make us healthier.”
“That's not what it is,” he said. “Indeed, pharmacy is healthy when people are sick.”
He described the pharmacy as “an intellectual property racket”.
“It owns molecules, compounds, owns technologies,” he said. “And what he's looking for is a disease to which these things plausibly apply. And his benefits increase to the extent that the disease is widespread, to the extent that the disease is severe, to the extent that that competing drugs are unsafe or ineffective, to the extent that the government will mandate a drug, to the extent that the medical establishment will declare it the standard of care.”
“You just described the response to the pandemic,” Carlson replied.
“Well, I did that,” Weinstein said. “And that's where I learned all these tricks, was that basically every day of the year, pharma is dedicated to portraying the properties that they have as more useful than they are, safer than they are, and persuading the medical establishment, journals, societies, hospitals, government to steer people to drugs they would not otherwise take.”
“That's what the racket is,” he said.
Weinstein continued:
And you have to understand that because you have to realize that before COVID didn't happen, pharma was adept at figuring out how to portray a disease as more widespread and more serious than it was, it was great at portraying a compound as more effective as it is, safer than it is.
And so when COVID happened, all of that happened on a different scale. COVID was bigger than anything that had happened before, but none of it was new in pharmacy, and it was all new to us in the public trying to understand what we were supposed to do with this apparently very serious disease.
I will now put on the table a hypothesis as to why things have developed as they have. And it involves this pharmacy game. What did the pharmacy think? Why was he so obsessed with making sure we all took the so-called vaccines that were offered? Why was he so obsessed with making sure we didn't take the repurposed alternative drugs that so many doctors claimed were highly effective.
The mRNA technology behind vaccines is the “biggest pharmacological cash cow imaginable,” Weinstein said, adding that it “could enable the reformulation of every vaccine currently on the market.”
“And what's more, the property in question would streamline this whole process to an incredible level because, effectively, all you needed was a sequence, a genetic sequence of a pathogen, and you could literally type it into a machine and produce a vaccine . which was already in use, but for the exchange of the antigen in question,” he said.
Using “an mRNA message,” Weinstein explained, cells in the body are induced to “produce something they didn't produce in the first place.”
It's easily a trillion-dollar technology, but it has a fatal flaw, literally.
“[T]The technology itself has a terrible safety flaw that, in my opinion, would never have passed the most cursory safety tests,” Weinstein said. “And that flaw is that there is no targeting of lipid nanoparticles. Lipid nanoparticles will be taken up by any cells they encounter.”
If they “simply stayed at the injection site, as we were told when the vaccine rollout began,” that would be one thing.
But, Weinstein said, that's not the case. We now know that they can spread throughout the body to places like the heart and brain.
“Anything you inject into that space will seep out and circulate through the body,” he said.
“The body's response to seeing a cell of yours, which it recognizes as yours, which is producing an antigen, that is, a protein it does not recognize, is to assume that this cell is infected by a virus and destroy it “. explained. “That's the only thing the body has to do when it encounters a cell of yours that makes strange proteins.”
The mRNA vaccine technology “tricks your cells into producing foreign antigens, which the immune system can't help but recognize as an indicator of infection. And it destroys those cells,” he told Carlson.
“[W]The hate tissue starts to make these foreign proteins will be attacked by your immune system,” Weinstein said.
Later in the interview, Weinstein returned to his hypothesis.
Pharma, he deduced, “recognized that what would prevent this obstacle was an emergency that caused the public to demand a remedy that would allow them to go back to work and live their lives.”
“That would make the government streamline the security testing process so that it doesn't catch these things,” he said. “And actually one of the things that we see in addition to a lot more damage in these safety tests than we were initially allowed to understand, but also the safety tests were radically truncated so that the long-term damage was impossible to detect”.
“So the hypothesis in question is,” he said, “'Pharma used an emergency to avoid an obstacle to introducing an incredibly lucrative technology, to normalize it to the public and the regulatory apparatus to sneak it through the things that would normally prevent dangerous technology like this from being widely deployed.”
It's a lot to take in, and for many, Weinstein's findings will only confirm what they've already assumed.
The “toll” the pharmaceutical game has taken on the world is, he said, “staggering”:
[H]this is what we know.
Joseph Fraiman and colleagues, including Peter Doshi, conducted an evaluation of Pfizer's safety data from its safety trials. And these trials were absurdly short. In fact, Pfizer only allowed one month before vaccinating their controls and made it impossible to detect further damage.
And what they found was a one in 800 rate of serious adverse events. This is not a minor thing. This means serious damage to health. One in 800 per shot. This is not per person. This is for shooting. One in eight hundred rate, which in one month, this suggests a very high mortality risk. And indeed, we saw mortality in the safety trials.
According to some researchers, up to 17 million people worldwide have died from the COVID vaccine.
“Just for perspective,” said a stunned Carlson, “I mean, that's like the death toll of a global war.”
“Yes, absolutely,” Weinstein replied. “This is a great tragedy in history. … And amazingly, there's no way it's going to end.”
