In a heartfelt speech at the Republican National Convention, Kai Trump, the granddaughter of former President Donald Trump, shared personal anecdotes that highlighted an aspect of her grandfather rarely seen by the public.

Kai Trump began his speech by introducing himself and expressing his desire to show a different side of his grandfather. “Hi everyone. My name is Kai Madison Trump. I'm the granddaughter of Donald Trump. I'm speaking today to share this eye of my grandfather that people don't often see, he's just a normal grandfather,” she said.

She went on to describe the warm and loving relationship she shares with her grandfather, recalling moments that many could relate to. “He gives us sweets and soft drinks when our parents are not looking. He always wants to know how we are at school. When I made the honor roll, he printed it out to show his friends how proud he was of me. I know he calls me in the middle of the school day to ask how my golf game is going and tells me all about his, but then I have to remind him that I'm at school and I'll have to call him more late ,” Kai shared.

Despite his busy and often tumultuous public life, Donald Trump remains deeply involved in the lives of his grandchildren. Kai humorously recounted their golf games together, noting: “When we play golf together, if I'm not on his team, he'll try to get in my head, I know, and he's always surprised that I don't let him . he reached out to me, but I have to remind him that I'm also a Trump.”

Kai also noted his grandfather's unwavering support and encouragement, even in the midst of his legal battles. “Even when he's going through all these court cases, he always asked me how I'm doing. He always encourages me to push myself to be the most successful person I can be. Obviously, he sets the bar pretty high, but who knows, maybe one day I'll catch him”, he remarked.

The emotional depth of his speech was further emphasized when he recalled his reaction to hearing about an attack on his grandfather. “I was shocked when I heard he had been shot and I just wanted to know if he was OK. It was heartbreaking that someone would do this to another person. A lot of people put my grandfather through hell and he's still standing.” Kai said.

To conclude his speech, Kai Trump expressed his admiration and love for his grandfather. “Grandpa, you are such an inspiration and I love you. The media makes my grandpa look like a different person, but I know him for who he is. He is very caring and loving. He truly wants the best for this country, and he will fight every day for making America great again. Thank you very much.”
