Former President Donald Trump caused a bit of a firestorm Thursday, taking a jab at Vice President Kamala Harris and highlighting her Indian heritage.
Trump shared a throwback photo of Harris, expressing his appreciation for her Indian roots and the warmth of their past friendship.

This move by Trump ruffled some feathers, especially after his recent comment about Harris' racial identity.
According to Trump, he didn't know she was black until a few years ago.

It's also worth noting that even in 2016, Business Insider highlighted Harris as the first Indian-American US senator.
